When will women learn to ask men out?

When will you. Forget about all those old fashioned rules of courtship. Desperation in men's eyes is often quite attractive. When will women learn to ask more men out? Like me for instance?

Ok, let me rephrase, at what point is it ok for women as men out? ftr, I have a very low confidence level...schoolyard bullys, overprotective but emotionally distant parents, ADHD, the works. What i have to say, it isn't Being Asked Out that I am want, its the thought I possess attractive qualities that women will want to get to know me, in other words, I have caught the interests (its irrelevant who asks who). I guess what I really need is a strong network of close friends to spend time with. But it seems that good friendships never arise when you get older.

i think women have the same fear of rejection that men do, but society has made it mens responsibility to deal with that fear.
I've asked men out but i have to admit that I've done it in the guise of a casual coffee or lunch date.
i suppose we will as women have to understand that double standards are a double edged sword.

i have to admit i am still appalled that some women still expect men to pay for dates and pick them up and drop them off... and do the asking out.
unless your goal is traditional maybe the mating ritual should be a little less traditional

how bout all the single women out there ask some guy out for dinner and pick THEM up AND pay the tab... all in the name of equality, who knows, you might find a great catch

I never had a problem asking a guy out (I'm married now) But if your looking to
find a nice girl from church though you better step up and do the asking.

I'm a guy and i know where ure coming from, I see some girls ask guys out but not everyday, yeah it would be a lot easier for me to cuz I choke when I try t oask a girl out

If you feel like asking the guy out just ask lor. No such thing as waiting for man to ask you first. Well, if gals choose to wait for men to take action first, then they can wait forever....haha

Just make the first move, sometimes guys will feel good if you ask them out, this shows that they got chance...right?

haha lol ok the reason we don't ask YOU out is becuase your supposed to be the alpha male in the situation and by asking you out we are acting as if we are in charge and most women want a man to take control of them not the other way around :)

they know how to do it , some do and some dont its different for everyone. Someone has to make the first move so who cares who it is. Its a lot more romantic when the guy chases the girl though.

As opposed to men whom ask women and have ulterior motives ie., pillow talk.
