My four year old keeps writing on the walls. She has plenty of coloring books and even just plain construction paper to scribble on. She knows she is only supposed to write on paper because she will tell you. I want this to stop and it needs to stop now.

I took away all the crayons, markers, and pencils and pens. She still manages to find one lurking under the couch or some where, idk. She has caught numerous amounts of spanking and timeouts. I'm done with both. Please give me some other ways to stop this 4 year old from writing on the walls. Its getting worse she even writes on the sheets and rugs in her room. Please give some ideas........

You need to take away more than her colouring utensils now. Take away her REAL currency. No tv. No friends over. No toys. She is old enough to understand that you told her not to do it. She is not respecting you.

Haha. That's normal, I used to do that a lot. Draw power rangers. Hehe. Anyways to get her to stop drawing on the walls, just talk to her and explain that, that is wrong, shes just very creative. Between the ages of 2 to 4 this happens. U could also do some cleaning with her. Let her know how it feels to clean, just calmly u know. And then if that doesn't work, then "spank, spank" not hard but good enough. Thats what my parents did and i learned. Im 15 and i still remember that .

You could say, " Can you tell me what the rules are about where you are allowed to write or color?" "When you write on things I don't like it and it makes me feel angry. We are going to write down a list of things that you like to do and at the end of the day if you haven't marked on anything you may do one of the things on your list." "If you decide to disobey and mark on things then we will make another list of jobs that you will have to do to make up for it" "You are responsible for cleaning up all the marks you have made in the house everywhere." Get her some magic erasers or just give her a bucket with soap and a scrub brush and let her try to scrub it out and let her see how hard it is to get rid of those marks. Also make her draw you a picture to tell you how sorry she is that she destroyed property belonging to you. Last resort you could mark on her favorite doll or belonging and make it look really ugly. I would suggest you take things away rather than mark on them. Hope this helps, I have 5 kids.

This is a perfect chance to practice logical consequences instead of punishment... Hand her a wet cloth and soap, smile and say, okay, lets clean it up now! Help her, but don't do it for her. Do this every time you find markings on the wall. It worked with 3 of my little interior decorators! hehe Good luck! :)

i might say your writing is mediocre for a 14 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous. this is on no account undesirable, yet it actually isn't spectacular the two. you ought to paintings on exhibiting vs Telling and annoying variations. you're tale problems me slightly, too. For one factor, i do no longer comprehend why she is employed so straight away and for no obvious reason. next, it bears a too astonishing resemblance to The Sound of track (a action picture, which i decide for to advise you watch because of the fact it is so alike on your plot line).

Buy some blackboard paint and tell her that she can only draw on that wall.
