Im kind of going through a crisis of faith. Im not an atheist by any means, but I am becoming confused by the denominations of Christianity I was raised with (I was raised in Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist and a few other churches). Ive tried talking to preachers and such, but they tend to take a literal take on the Bible, and I dont, and the communication just breaks down at that point.
How do I find where I belong? Im not even 100% sure that I am Christian, though I was raised with it. There are so many choices out there, there's got to be something that fits me....right?

Remember, the Bible tells us what we need to know, not what we want to know. It admonishes and reproves, and leads us. We must put ourselves below Scripture as students, not above it as Masters. Remember, only God inspired the Bible, if we try to make it say what we want it to say, or we pick and choose what we want, disregarding some of Gods word, we are mocking God.
If you can't take what the Bible says at face value, what is the value of Scripture?
I will pray for you.

A matter of continuing the search. It is rare to find a church which gives a comprehensive teaching about Christian discipleship. Such a one (founded in the UK) has just started in USA called Ellel -another is called Freedom in Christ Ministries.

Where do you turn? Turn inward. Ask yourself. There may never be any organized church that is exactly what you believe. Some may come closer than others. The key is to go where you feel most comfortable. There are churches that are less literal or fundamental than others. Keep exploring.

Try visiting www.lds.org. Get information about different religions from the source and not from what someone who is ignorant or misinformed may tell you. The best way to do that is to attend different churches and talk to the people that attend them about their feelings. Pray about it! God is the ultimate primary source of religion!

Perhaps this is a time in your life when you start to seek out your own spiritual path....for myself, i study all faiths and religions and find strands of truth that run through all....
As for a church, you may feel comfortable finding a unity church or an ecumenical chruch....these both respect any and all faiths and encourage the development of your own soul and spirit as is fit for you.
i hope you find what it is you seek.....

I think church is really about the people, not the denomination. Just visit churches in your area till you find one that feels right. Try the Unitarian church.

You turn to yourself and figure out what you believe... Once you have that figured out you can look around and see if their is a religion that teaches those same beliefs..
Until you have figured out what you believe you are just grasping at straws and looking for someone to tell you what to believe and you will never be happy...

You might find the Belief-O-Matic quiz over at Beliefnet.com helpful:

It's fun, and it matches you up with a wide variety of religions and philosophies based on your answers, with write-ups for each one. The results can be very surprising.

The Bible. Read Mark for yourself (the simplest gospel to read) and see what it says about Jesus.
