I still associate the 88 with DJ as well. It doesn't really matter to me what number Jr. drives, it is just a number. But, I would rather have seen him pick a number not associated with anyone, for a new and fresh start. That way, it would be his own number. In the end, it's just a number.

go Jr.>>>>

Robert Yates was very nice to give up the 88 to HMS..Yes it was used by Dale Jarrett, but its done and already set...The 88 is a great fit, its like two 8's are better than one 8..after all is a 8 yr next yr DW already has a champaign 8 wins for the 88 in 08...Heck I just want the 88 to win some races and hey great if he wins the championship...heck I'll drag out a bottle of Dom from my wine cellar and drink it myself..

Go Dale Jr & HMS in 2008

Nope, 88 is the best choice. All the JR lovers can just add another 8 to whatever they have now. Like window decals, paint schemes, tattoos. Its a good choice. LOL

i think of Jr. will do properly now with new team chief, Im confident he had to get faraway from cousin as their racing chemistry at the same time grew to become into only no longer working. Jr. will constantly have a journey, his utilising tallents are to solid to no longer have journey. in spite of if he don't have a cup journey he's amazingly plenty in touch with JR Motorsports and doing properly. Dont think of he will run mid %. anymore

Now that he's not driving the number 8, it's really not important at all what number he's driving. If I were him, I wouldn't pick anything with an 8 in it. All that does is serve as a constant reminder to him and his fans that he couldn't get his number from DEI.

I had hoped all along he'd take the 88. He's owner of the car with that number in the Busch Series, and it's Double 8s.

It doesn't matter, he's got a great number. The "8" would have been my number one choice.
