Holy crap, what a moron (him, not you) to be so stupid to not know this. Tell him to read about it. Even a tampon will break the hymen before a woman has sex, and therefore she will not bleed the first time she has intercourse. I would say that given the tiny bit you've said, you're probably better off without him anyway.

HONEY!! Tell him to get with it!!!! That is such an old fashioned, ridiculous theory! It may be the case with a lot of people but remember if you've done anything else before sex (like 'hands on, third base' stuff) then you may not. Or his willy may not have been sizeable enough to make it happen. Not being mean, that just might be the case. There are so many reasons that it doesn't happen and that really is an old-fashioned view. He should be happy he didn't hurt you!!! If you've been together for three years then maybe it's some other trust issue that's really the problem. He's just trying to find something to pick at. Tell him the facts- that it doesn't always happen, especially not these days after the invention of LUBE. If he doesn't believe you, then I don't think it's the virgin thing. It's a trust thing and it goes a lot deeper. Like I said, he should be happy he didnt' hurt you.

get proof from a doc, the layer of skin that gets broke when you have intercourse for the first time is so thin that it is possiable that when you was a child you could have fell flat on your backside and landed just right that the fall broke that layer of skin. just talk to your doctor. he/she should be able to give you pamplets about it or a print out or something that will give you your proof, gl
