Actually I was born wearing a Tux. with an umbrella in my hand. It was a difficult delivery.

This is a difficult one to respond to without quoting from the Bible, as you request, but I shall try.
The sin committed in the garden was not specifically the eating of the forbidden fruit. The “original sin” was disobedience. The Lord said that to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil would result in death. The serpent said that it would not. Both Adam and Eve died, so the serpent was a liar.
The “fruit” may well not be literally fruit, but a metaphor of some sort. The point is, they were not aware of “good and evil” prior, and became aware afterward. This knowledge opened the door for them to sin, to consciously do that which they knew was evil. Apparently, this can be taught, as one of their sons killed his own brother. I think you would agree that this was a sin.
In their new awareness their nakedness became to them something wrong. There is no mention of this wrongness being the source of their mortality. Indeed, it may well be that God was sad that they had learned to believe that they themselves were somehow shameful.
They had disobeyed, and in so doing turned away from the perfect protection of their Creator. As all life emerges from this One spirit [if you would care to debate the impossibility of spontaneous generation and self driven “evolution”, we would need way more space than is available here], any life which is not cognizant of its origins and acknowledges its source is equally ignored by its source. In other words, the consequence of the disobedience was mortality, as God no longer held the two as separate from the rest of creation. They relinquished their trust, and God relinquished His special protection for them.
Nudity was, again, not the mortal sin. Disobedience and distrust were. The right or wrong of nudity was a consequence of learning. Mortality has been transmitted from generation to generation ever since. Knowledge of good and evil still take learning.
Some folk learn that public nudity is sinful, while others do not. Some people learn that distrust and disobedience are ultimately fatal, while others do not (speaking from the perspective of eternity). The belief that nudity is evil is not inherited.
I get the feeling your knowledge of Bible matters was given to you in Sunday school, or by hearsay. You have never studied the topic yourself. You might consider doing so before your next attempt to “prove” something about which you know so little.
May the peace of the Lord be always with you!

The narrative of Genesis is not about nudity.
Adam and Eve lost their innocence when they chose to become separate from God.
Just as a child reaching puberty doesn't want Mom or Dad to see him naked, Adam and Eve now felt separate from God.
Adam and Eve's punishment was a feeling of being separated from God, which has been expressed throughout time and across cultures. Shame over nudity was a literary devise in Genesis representing that shame and separation.
It is interesting that atheists often take scripture more literally than even the most fundamentalist of fundamentalists.

They weren't ashamed of their nudity, per se.
The shame they felt was general and a direct response to suddenly realizing that they had made a mistake. When people have dreams about being naked in public, their nakedness is rarely the issue...the issue is that they feel exposed or vulnerable...they feel like others are watching them or judging them. This is a result of the so called "original sin"...not that they gained "wisdom" as you called it, but that they suddenly became aware that they are responsible for making decisions about right and wrong! With that responsibility came the fear of being wrong and being judged for making bad decisions. They became aware of that vulnerability and noticed that they were exposed...trying to hide their bodies was only one of the ways they reacted!
Adam and Eve clothed themselves as part of their effort to hide from God...but that wasn't all they did. The reason it is such a big deal to us it cultural not spiritual...we aren't born being ashamed of nudity, but we have modesty culturally imposed on us. However, I think all people have a sense of fear...a sense of needing to hide when they do something that they know they shouldn't do. The Africans you mentioned don't use clothing as their "shield" because they weren't culturally conditioned to do so...but they have their own ways of shielding themselves from the fear created by the knowledge of good and evil (wearing tribal jewelry comes to mind among other things).
Disproven my religion...hardly...your story isn't even about my religion...by your own admission, you were talking about a "fairy tale". In your fairy tale, the tree of "the knowledge of good and evil" becomes the tree of "wisdom" and the "curse of sin" is primarily related to nudity. Yes, that's a pretty good fairy tale but it is only superficially consistent with what the bible describes as the true curse of sin.

Ummmmmm, first off you are wrong about a few things... 1. we are NOT under the curse of sin because he ate, we are under it because he DISOBYED God..... 2. we are born naked, the shame is in NOT being modest around others that are NOT your husband or wife, I feel NO shame of nudity around my husband, there for your theory is off balance here just a tad....... and those in Africa have the same inner spirtual core we have, they just do not live it in a Christian asspect or thought..... and to put it in plain and simple english it goes this way..... those that are NOT Christian are NOT under the same spiritual guides we are and can not be.... they do not have to follow the Bible.... they are NOT under any obligation or spiritual need to do so........ sooooo, NO NO NO, you have NOT disproven a thing..... but that YOU do NOT KNOW the Bible !!!!! Please read it and study it BEFORE going into these kinds of deep and spiritual questions...... go in peace....... God bless

it relatively is effective to be curious and ask that type of a query, yet Christians have self assurance that the tingling and goose bumps and robust thoughts are God's presence and God's presence in basic terms. it relatively is diverse for them. you may get shivers and butterflies from a guy or female you like, even though it relatively is not an identical. So Christians does no longer be waiting to journey that unique feeling from something else. i'm Christian yet i'm no longer implementing my ideals on you, i'm only telling the reality from a Christian's attitude. No no longer easy thoughts. :)

your knowledge of the bible is as poor as your logic
the bible says, when man ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their eyes were open and they saw that they were naked. sewing the leaves was not to hide their nakeness from each other, it was to hide their nakedness from God.
you have done nothing but discredit yourself and your credibility.
I will give you a verse, something you can handle, it is an old english nursery rhyme
pat a cake, pat a cake, little girl fair
there is a priest in the temple without any hair
you take a brick and I'll take a tile
and we will hit a priest over the back of the neck
I bet you didn't know I also know some history too, even the anti-church nursery rhyme.
no you can't change me, I see someone who knows less than my dog when it comes to the bible and he hasn't read any of it yet.
go and learn this verse, every idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

the bible says that your not suppose to argue about the bible but I'm just going to tell you talking about a group of people that do not even have money to buy cloths and that don't even have a high education and the manners we have the are that way because they were born that way if was born that way and some of then are fortunate to wear cloths and other ain't but when we are babies we don't know were suppose to wear cloths and we don't feel about it so religion is a religion and for most people it doesn't matter what you tell them they were raised to believe what their parent do so to prove a religion is wrong and they the bible all so says that snakes use to crawl and now they slither and science proves that right!

Actually, a large majority of African tribes do wear small clothing (or covering) of some sort over their genital areas. They may not claim that they have shame in their nakedness, yet seem to still desire to cover that one small area. In fact, there are very few cultures that go COMPLETELY naked, meaning not a stitch of clothing or covering. Covering ones genitals means being covered. (A woman bearing her breasts is not considered naked.) Of course, this can be argued that it is for sanitary reasons, but I just wanted to bring up the point.
You seem so intent on disproving religion based on an idea that you have not firmly backed.

Hi
I realize that there are Christians who argue points in the Bible and sometimes I do. But this point is not important.
The most important thing a Christian has to tell the world is not what Adam and Eve or people in remote parts of the world choose to wear (or not).
The most important message of the Bible is Jesus Christ and the most important thing I can say is what are you going to do about Him?
Two choices are available: accept Him or reject Him.
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this.
Will you believe this?
Would you like to go with Jesus when He returns?
