How old do you have to be to get a tattoo?

I live in Mississippi and was just wondering how old do I have to be to get a tattoo. I hear that it's different in different states, that's why I'm telling you where I live. I'm seventeen right now. My mom says you have to be eighteen but my cousin says that you can be sixteen but you have to have your parent(s) say that it's okay.

Just answer that question, no need to say that you think i'm too young or that I need to think it over or whatever.

You have to be at least 18 in Mississippi.

It shall be unlawful for any person to place a tattoo upon the body of any person under the age of eighteen (18) years.

I'm unsure about Missippi, but in Minnesota its 16+ with parental consent, 18 without. But, it also depends on the shop.

I feel it will depend on the tat and in which it's placed and if that individual has placed on plenty of weight through the years or when you consider that they bought it. I used to tease my sis. When she used to be younger she bought a rabbit on her bewb. I'd most often ask her how the bunny used to be doing and if it used to be at the ground but. ha ha I real do pass over her!

you can be 14 and up with an adult there (your parents i had a friend who got a tatoo @ 15 her mom let her.
it realy small though.
