Before he leaves for basic, he will be required to have a direct deposit set up so he knows where he will be getting payed. As long as you are on the account as well, you should not have any problems taking care bills and groceries.
He also has the option of getting payed on the 1st or split between the 1st and 15th of each month.

Yes you will but only after he's done with his paperwork. It took about 6 weeks for my husband's first pay to go in but when it finally did he was paid everything he was owed up to that point. Which by the way he will be entitled to BAS (food allowance...about 275/mo) BAH (housing...you will get it for the zipcode you live in at the moment not where he's being trained at) after 30 days you will get family separation pay plus his basic pay. You will also be able to get your photo id after he sends you the paperwork on it (Ithink I got mine after about 5 or 6 weeks) and then you can use the insurance.
Just check your bank accounts balance after about 6 weeks (on the 1st or 15th) and your husband's money should be there. By the way if the 1st or 15th should fall on a Sun or a holiday his pay will be put in on either that Friday or Sat before. My husband's has never been late in the 5 years he's been in.
Edit...Just ignore Marco....apparently he can't read and see that you have a job but need both incomes to make ends meet (which is how most people now adays are!) You'll find that alot of people are very nasty to military wives when they ask about how pay is done because they assume that we married our men for their money and benefits....LMAO...I know if I had wanted to marry for money I would've picked someone who got paid better! Anyway just ignore the jerks like that!

Your husband will have his pay sent sent to his bank via direct deposit. Military gets paid on the 1st and 15th of the month. Not sure if they have the option of having being paid only once a month still.

He will get paid direct deposit into his bank account, as the first guy said, but do not just go off and spend it, he will need money to buy himself things, contrary to what you may think, he is responsible for buying his own stuff.

You get paid in basic. The military has it sent to go in the bank account he picks thru direct deposit. He sents all this up at reception.

NO. HE gets paid, NOT YOU. his paycheck will be direct deposited into whatever bank account he sets up. If it is a joint one that you have access to, great.
Expect 6-8 weeks after he reports to bootcamp for the first paycheck to be deposited.
either way, you will need to make arrangements ahead of time to pay all bills. either ask to skip a payment, forgive late fees, arrange to pay half when due and the other half when he gets paid. Most people will work with you if you come to them before hand and explain what is going on.

No you will not get his income. You will get it after he graduates. Which really sucks, but its nice. Because its a big check. They will not pay you unless he graduates. And you aren't considered to be a part of the military yet while he is in boot camp. You need to talk to his recruiter about this. If he is at boot camp there may be bills that can be put on hold until he gets back so its not so hard for you. Like credit cards, car payments, insurance for the car, etc. Definitely get him to talk to his recruiter about this though. They know a lot more about it than anybody on here would. Good luck! God bless!
Edit:
I don't know why I'm getting so many thumbs down...it's just the simple truth. You need to know this now so you don't think everything is all hunky dory when he leaves. You don't get any benefits either when he leaves. You do not see any income until he is officially part of the military. Meaning he has to complete basic training. Anybody who tells you otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about or is mistaken. You will get money when he goes to school though. He can opt to have it electronically sent to yalls bank account. Who knows maybe I'm wrong......Anyway, regardless of retards giving me thumbs down...tell him to talk to his recruiter. It will be hard for two months, but after that you guys will be a-ok. It's worth it. Trust me! Good luck baby doll!

Yes. If that is his decision. He should be able to opt to have his pay sent home, electronically, or the actual check he recieves.
