Should I get it? I have green walls and hardwood floors. What color rug or carpet should I get? My curtains are green and gold also but I'm thinking of switching them to some dark wood colored blinds.

This is for a living room.

I have children 10 and under. I really don't feel like painting the living room. Do you guys really feel like I can't make it work with the green walls.

I think it will be great! I have a lighter brown leather sectional very similar. Leather is good for kids because it's easy to keep clean & it's especially good for people with allergies, esp. to dust mites. Leather is easy to get pet fur off of. It's also very durable. Cats that claw a lot should be kept away as well as kids with crayons, markers, etc!

Certain greens go with everything. I think that's why most flowers have green for the stems & leaves. If the wall is clean green like flowers have, a large throw rug with green background & some pretty bright colors( not necessarily floral print) would look nice.

If the wall is army or mint green, a rug with matching green, brown & peachy colors would go well. You can make the green wall work very well, with the right colors & color spots around the room.

You will just have to see what would look better as far as blinds or curtains. Put everything together that you plan to use Then put together the curtains with the things you have. If they don't work, the blinds most likely will.

They might be too dark if the room doesn't have much natural light. In that case, you may want to go with blinds a little less dark brown.

I can just see it in my mind's eye!

The sofa is noted as dark walnut which would be beautiful with greens. I would however switch out the drapes for wooden blinds. The 2 inch plantation wood ones are a great look. Choose a large rug with the browns and greens in it but also a bit of red. You could go contemporary here easily or a persian for a different feel. Accessorize with reds, oranges or golds or a mix. Don't let people tell you that leather doesn't hold up with kids and pets. It's a hide and is actually more resilient than most of the fabric choices out there. If you have kids and pets and leather seats in your car, you would already know that. It's a great sofa. Go for it.

Sectional sofas are great, I have a 3 piece sectional and its very versatile. Mine wraps around in the corner and if needed can be pulled out, rearranged, etc. Because the sofa is dark you need to lighten up the floor, go with a red carpet and dark wood blinds, it will really bring some color to the center of the room!

I think it's beautiful if you don't have pets or little munchkins. Too much pressure in the house trying to keep em off.

I don't care for curtains so I like your idea about the wood blinds. But I would go for a pecan colour for the blinds. Or try and match them as close to your hardwood floors in colour. A neutral colour area rug would be nice. Have fun decorating.

I loved the whole idea. I think you should get it.
I personally would also look for some sectionals that have recliners in them like

The color choice that you have made is just right. You can have a cow hide rug and toss pillows as it breaks the monotony and on the centre table have something green and gold you may also add a couple of green and gold toss pillows along with the cow hide toss pillows.

Enjoy

Hmmm....... the curtains sound nice. i say get new curtains maybe?

Blinds together with the leather sectional might be way too masculine (unless that's what you like) especially if theyre the same color

Rug: Maybe a Dura Soft http://www.becklerscarpet.com/carpet/displaycolordetail.php?p_id=345&coll_id=507&manu_id=39&color_id=3343 or morocco red with pattern if an area rug (e.g. diamond pattern)

I think you should reconsider, maybe a sectional but just not leather, because leather is a dark tone, and it's suggest that your house is a bechelor pad, and to many peoples concerns that not a good defintion of a house, unless your a whole bunch of guys, but yeah i suggest a differnt color, but if you were to do leather do a brighter color of it

That is a really nice couch. I think you should get it! Um your rug color should be an accent color in you living room! Like how you said gold, it should have some nice gold embroidery in it.
