The only thing the Bible tells us concerning the Garden of Eden’s location is found in Genesis 2:10-14, “A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold…The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Asshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.” The exact identities of the Pishon and Havilah rivers is unknown, but the Tigris and Euphrates rivers are well known. If the Tigris and Euphrates mentioned there are the same rivers by those names today, that would put the Garden of Eden somewhere in the middle east, likely in Iraq. People have searched for the Garden of Eden for centuries to no avail. There are various locations that people claim to be the original location of the Garden of Eden, but we cannot be sure. What happened to the Garden of Eden? The Bible does not specifically say. It is likely that the Garden of Eden was completely destroyed in the Flood.

I just saw a show on the History channel about this. The Genesis story said that 4 rivers started from it and it was 'east'. Historians assume it means east of Israel but are aware it is an assumption-it still covers a lot of land. One guy has reasoned that the story must be referring to land that was coastal in ancient Sumeria (it looked now like it was somewhere between China and India). He used satellite photography and decided that there had been two other rivers previously (the Pishon and Gihon) that emptied into the same area as the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. There are Sumerian texts that have similarities to the Flood and Creation stories. Abraham was from the land of Ur, which was Sumerian. There was a great flood in the area, which changed the landscape. The story says the four rivers started from there but the photography shows that they would have ended in the same place but all four had different areas for their source.
It will probably run again on the History channel or you can purchase it on their website. They were advertising it during commercial breaks.

the world did not have nations or borders when God made Eden. And the exact location may not be in Iraq, but could be, remember there was a flood, and all rivers mentioned in Eden in the Bible may not be the same rivers today, since the whole earth changed shape after the flood.

according to the Bible, it's in Iraq, near the Euphrates and Tigris rivers.

between the Tigris and Euphrates....which most archeologist and historians agree is where western and middle eastern civilization began.

Also, before even the bibical days we know that area was very lush and green and plants grew easily, which is probably why it is one of the first places where towns cropped up. Sometime later, though, something happened to make the rivers flood in different stages and completely changed the landscape and climate.
Many think that the area, back then, would have looked like a paradise.

Personally I think it's the Wallenstein Gardens in Prague. Beautiful place. No fruit trees, though. Peacocks. Lots of peacocks.

Eden is mans creation to explain his existants that's all, and boy he came right off the wall on that one, he was definitely smoking some heavy stuff I think.

it makes more sense to me that it was located in Hawaii, because people always say it's like paradise. I never heard of anyone say how much they want to go to Iraq

Garden of Eden is anyplace around you that you feel comfortable and content. On the other hand, Hell is anyplace around you that makes your life miserable.
