Being that about 80 to 85% of churches now are being run by men that don't truly have a relationship with the one true God and are just doing it as a job I would have to say that the effects of organized religion have been:
1) brainwashing of the people's minds
2)corruption among the clergy and congregation

War is a good one!
Supression of other beliefs or ideas (some of the brightest minds in history were fought tooth and nail by the Roman Cath. Church, heck they didn't even want non-clergy people to read!)
Religion in general can offer the individual something to cling to when times are tough, positive thoughts help!
Its a very slippery slope, its great to have something to hold on to in tought times but its hard to not let it run your life and still seek alternative understandings of the world and how it works.

Their faith in God
Their freedom to worship God in Spirit and in Truth.
Organized religion is about control, not allowing others to grow in their walk with Christ, because it's not about Christ, it's about power, position, status and the cha-ching! Money-honey!
Organized religion do not encourage a new believer in a individual walk with God and allow a growth in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Jesus is on the back burner sort of speak and the organized religion takes control and kinda ruins that person's faith.
Sucks doesn't it??

(1 Corinthians 14:33) 33Â For God is [a God], not of disorder, but of peace. As in all the congregations of the holy ones,
,(Ephesians 4:1-6) 4 I, therefore, the prisoner in [the] Lord, entreat YOU to walk worthily of the calling with which YOU were called, 2Â with complete lowliness of mind and mildness, with long-suffering, putting up with one another in love, 3Â earnestly endeavoring to observe the oneness of the spirit in the uniting bond of peace.(Galatians 5: 22,23Â On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, Â mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. ) 4Â One body there is, and one spirit, even as YOU were called in the one hope to which YOU were called; 5Â one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6Â one God and Father of all [persons], who is over all and through all and in all.
Galatians 5:25Â If we are living by spirit, let us go on walking orderly also by spirit.
16Â But I say, Keep walking by spirit and YOU will carry out no fleshly desire at all. 17Â For the flesh is against the spirit in its desire, and the spirit against the flesh; for these are opposed to each other, so that the very things that YOU would like to do YOU do not do. 18Â Furthermore, if YOU are being led by spirit, YOU are not under law.
19Â Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20Â idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21Â envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.

Is the rest of your question.... has had on you? If so i can do that. First organized religion helped end my parents marriage. Second it made me deeply distrustful of Religion.

Different religions have different effects on people.
You need to specify. Your question is too broad.

Their beliefs coupled with reading the Bible caused me to become an Atheist.
Religion alone has made me realize just how delusional people have become as a result of their indoctrination.
