Everybody has encountered a person who thinks that every single thing that happens in their life is authored by God. The near miss at the red light, the person they met in line at the bank, the song on the radio, the burnt toast..... What do you think?

Yes, everything including the hair that comes out in your hairbrush.

Matthew 10:
29
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31
Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Many people have wrong concepts of God and how he works in our lives. God is not a babysitter. Neither is he a dispenser of goodies like Santa Claus.

Jesus taught us by his life, death and resurrection who God was and how he works in our lives. He also taught us how to pray. He gave us the Lord’s Prayer as our model of prayer. Following this model it should not be ‘my will be done’ when we pray but rather ‘Thy will be done’. Let us not question the wisdom of God if he does not grant our petition. Let us just ask for the wisdom and grace to accept what God cannot change.

God cannot change the biological and physical laws he created because if he did there will be anarchy and chaos. For example, if he restored an amputee’s limb how will God answer the prayer of a prosthetics doctor who has been praying for patients? If I ask God to give me clear weather tomorrow because my grandson will have a birthday party, how will God respond to the farmer praying for rain on the other side of the mountain? If a brick is about to hit me, God will not change the laws of gravity. If he did, we could have a worldwide catastrophe. Want more examples? I can give you more but I think I have made my point.

However, this doesn’t mean that God doesn’t answer prayer. All prayer is answered but not always in the way we hope or expect. God always lovingly hears our prayers, and in all things works for good for those who love him (cf. Rom. 8:28). The prayers that he always says yes to are those petitions which help us get to heaven. After all that is God’s plan for us.

I believe that God wants to be involved intimately in our lives. There is nothing that we can't take to Him, neither too small nor too large. I do believe that He authors our lives but I also think that much of that is observation more than direct interference. Knowing what is going to happen is different from causing it to happen. If I believed that he caused every single thing in my life I would be forced to believe that He caused the bad and the evil as well. And I know that He does not cause evil.

The steps of the righteous man are ordered by God.. This is what I believe. As believers we are in the process of Learning how to walk according to the Spirit of God. All our lives we walked according to who we were.. according to our tastes and prefences. I personally do not obsess about it or go to any kind of extreme, but I have been learning over the years how to stay with the Lord throughout my day. Many times the Lord has to shepherd me back to Him during the day, but by and large, its a matter of living a life and lifstyle in union and oneness with the Lord that counts. If He leads you this way and that, its just a matter of staying with Him and giving Him a way to be your source and life supply. Then it does not matter so much where we are... just as long as the Lord is with us.

Absolutely. Why do you think God, in all His Almighty Power, Knowledge, Beauty and Wisdom would go through all the details of a single human being and create unique DNA, fingerprints, all the no one is exactly alike, mind you, unique dental in every human being so that no one has the same teeth marks, I mean, come on, think about it. If God give this much damn detail to us as individuals, dontcha think He wants the same intimate relationship with Him in return?????? Things that make you go hummmmm?

I think some of it really is God but others are just people that have God in them, it does not matter if you can tell or not. The Lord is alive and well and he is involved always, but I don't think that every single thing is authoried by God...

I think that some people really do want to walk their daily lives in the light of the one true God. In so doing, they tend to credit everything as from God's hand.

Adam was given authority over the earth by God. Adam then gave it to satan. satan is responsible for the bad things. God cannot just forcibly take it back, because He would be breaking the promise/deal he made with Adam.

However he is almost done with His redemptive plan. We need to have faith and patience.

God, if God exists, appears to be as indifferent to life on earth as the gods Epicurus wrote of.
