My cell has a web enabled phone so i can check my email on the go. My dad and i were in the car and he was waiting for an important email, so i offered him to use my cell to sign in and check his email, he did and he didnt sign out. So the next day i went to check my email and he was stil logged it, i didnt mean to look, i honestly dont care about his emails. BUT he did have a TON of porn emails. And id like to think they were just spam but i harldy ever get bad emails and he had a TON. Does this mean he looks at porn? or could it just be an unusual amont of spam? my dad a VERY stong christian and it freaks me out a little bit.
(i know i shouldnt have went threw his mail, i dont need a lecture, i honestly didnt mean too.)

Hey Buddy, you didn't snoop.
Your Dad got careless, & HIS e-mails got on your phone.

However, what sites your dad visits is HIS business. NOT YOURS! He's an adult, & it is perfectly legal for him to visit the porn adult sites that are available if he wants to.
It's also not against the law to be a hypocrite.

You can ask your dad if you think you need to. But realistcaly, do you think he's going to be honest with you if he's indulging himself in internet porn?
Do yourself (and your dad) a favour. Don't put him in a position where he may have to lie to you.

I know it isn't fair, because he probably demands complete honesty from you. But if he's addicted to porn , he'll lie to you, as sure as Yahoo has questions and answers.

Not necessarily. You can get spyware from just about ANY site, even apparently innocent ones. Some spyware will sit on your computer and record information such as your email and distribute them to other random people. I get all sorts of crazy email, myself, all the time (on gmail).

But sadly enough its also not impossible that he is struggling with an addiction. Many Christians do it - although I am NOT condoning it, not at all - as a way to prevent from sinning towards real women.

I must confess that I have struggled with this on occasion (am also Christian) It is probably the hardest thing to control as a man, even as a Christian. Definitely takes very strong character to resist this. Sometimes for this reason I wish I wasn't born male... but I guess I can't change that now lol

if all you looked at were the subject lines, then most likely you were seeing a lot of spam. The spammers seem to always have mostly porn or adult related products such as male enhancements, etc...
Besides, your dad is an adult and if some of it IS porn, then really, it's none of your concern. It doesn't change who he is when he's w/ you and the rest of the family.

My advice is to let it go and forget you ever saw it. It'll protect your dad's privacy, and keep harmony in the household.

Most likely it's all spam. I get a ton of emails too, offering me all kinds of sexual whatevers. I'm not into porn, I just happened to have used my email for other types of offers and that generated a lot of spam mail. Don't worry about it.

Well, my guess is that he looks at porn.

Think about it,
If you don't get spam, then why would he?
Why would there be so many of them?
If they were spam, wouldn't he have deleted them by now?

You really shouldn't have looked through his E-mails, but i wont say much about that as i think you already know. . . .

I advise you just to forget about it.

Porn is wrong, but I'm sure he's not alone. Lots of men do it.

Unless it was child pornography, i don't think you have too much to be concerned about.

Yes, you did mean to go through his e-mail. If you didn't mean to then you wouldn't have done it. If you didn't mean to you would have logged him out.

Yes he looks at porn. Yes, it is mostly spam. Forget about it. There isn't anything you can do to change it anyway and (as you already know) it isn't any of your business.

Then don't worry about it. The strongest Christians are pastors and such. And we all know now that many are homos. It seems strong Christian beliefs are sometimes just for show, and not from the heart. But whatever his deal is, it is not your business, yet, so leave it alone.

Explain about spam filters to your dad... maybe he needs some help on working the settings.
