If I get a honorable or medical discharge from the army before my time is up, do i have to pay back my enlistment bonus? And if they still owe me some, will I still get the rest?

it depends..i had a friend who's husband recieved a medical discharge and they had to pay back the bonus he recieved..depending on the reason behind the medical discharge...also if you fail to finish out your contract for reasons other then medical you might just end up having to pay that money back...talk to your recruiter or retention guy

my husband just re~upped and we got the full bonus up front so you may want to check into that if you are reenlisting instead of taking payments....

First, you won't be given the bonus in a one, lump sum payment. And second, if you read the fine print, the payments are based on time served. Should you get out early, guess what... Not only will you not get the rest of the promised money, but you MAY end up having to pay back some if not all.

No you don't if it is medical. If it is just an honorable dischage then you might but I am fairly sure the answer is no and I think they should give you all the money. However you will probably get it in one lump sum and there might be a time limit stipulation. Talk to the JAG office they will know for sure.
