Even printed here - people are confused.

Why do I care? Why do I want strangers to understand so badly? I mean I use simple words - so I will understand myself - and still people are confused.
Is there a record of Holy Spirit giving anyone the gift of confusion?

dreamdress2,
I have been like this forever, and
at 48, I doubt I can change.
Peace.

smiley.george,
Thanks, hi!
Yeah, I am this way often.
It's just tonight my question about technology in heaven seemed so easy to understand - I was hurt I guess so few did.
More proof I'm a work in progress.

Whether or not it's ok depend on how you each handle it.

There are two reasons to care: 1, is to want others to understand for their sake; 2, is is to be justified in their eyes.

The Holy Spirit does indeed confuse people in a sense by omission. "I cause all to err, in order that I might have mercy on all." -OT

To understand another is to know why they don't understand you, and be ok with that, or to be in complete agreement. There are also cases where neither side understands the other. You can view understanding in the sense that all things are as an infinite picture, but each person has a different sized window on it, view different places. Common ability and experience gives much overlap, but where abilities and experience differ then they see different things even though it's the same picture for everyone, no-one's vision takes it all in except the Holy Messengers, and more so, the Godhead.

I can't recall a time I did not understand what you were saying, and often agree in some degree or another...

God bless.

There is only one record of the Holy Spirit giving the gift of confusion but it was a confusing story that was contained in a gift that no one understood because the gift itself was confusing. Now the Holy Spirit does not confuse. But the most confusing thing is sometimes the Holy Spirit. So as to the confusing evidence of the Holy Spirit giving the gift of confusion I have no idea because it is so confusing.

In Genesis 11, God came down and CONFUSED the WORD, and scattered his people all over the world, so people couldn't work together nor understand each other. Within the text, it reads that when people do come together they can do things to rival the works of god(s).

In the OT prophesy of Zephaniah, it says that man will not speak in one voice again until the 'day of judgement'.
Zeph 3:9 For then will I return to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

Another good one is Exodus 4:11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?

God is not a god of confusion. Here is not a good place for understanding. People don't read the whole question or read into it what they want to.

To answer your question, it's okay not to understand if you've given up being understood. If you still care, you're going to have to find out if you aren't as clear as you think. Maybe your words are too simple.

When one Human Being Communicates to Another using "words", this is what is happening:

A Mental Picture, in the Human Being Talking---is being Drawn in the Mind of the Listener.
If it is done accurately, the same Picture will end up in the Listener's Mind! And the Listener should be able to UnderStand what the Person is Saying.

"Words" are Inner-Image Transfer Devices.

Hope this Helps.

It is ok.
Although, why anyone would be concerned to much that others do not understand (agree?) is beyond me.
One's beliefs should not be subject to whether we can get others to agree or understand.
I enjoy the fact that others will not understand or even vehemently
disagree. Why? Because it reminds me of the illustration of the rich man and Lazarus. It is as if there is a literal void between us, and no amount of proof or explanation can cross this void.

I seem to have the same problem at times... I've found that it's because they don't know the meaning of truth. Their logic comes straight from their own conclusions rather than really listening and deducting the truth.

We all say things that are not neccessarily understood but that does not make you any less smart, it just shows people care enough to want listen and try to make sense of what you are saying, they are not disregarding that and that is a great thing. You understand yourself thats all that matters!!!
