The Bible tells us that where there are two or three gathered in His name, God is there with them. The holding hands is symbolic of a unity of the people doing the praying.

I think praying together, by holding hands or being close creates a sense of community, unity, and encouragement. It's almost like you feel stronger in your spirituality knowing that you have others just like you and they can support and encourage you in what you do!

When people were asking for something at someone, they do hold up their hands right? Its the sign of determination of asking something.
Same as praying to God, when we hold up our hands, it'll show that we're serious in asking for help from God.

Salam......

They follow Satan, for Jesus said to pray in your closet and only after you have closed the door, so that you may pray to the Father in secret, and the the Father would hear you in secret, in spirit and in truth. Only when 2 or 3 are gathered may the Father hear their prays, and only if they are alive and in agreement as to what they will ask., and then only if it concerns things of the spirit.

it creates a prayer chain. its only a gesture many believe in thinking prayer is answered faster if they all touch and agee to the same prayer. not a bad idea really. God bless
