They still do happen... just many churches reject the power that we can have through the Holy Spirit. In fact, through the Holy Spirit, a true believer, after being baptized in the Holy Spirit, can do even greater things than Jesus did when he was on the earth.(John 14:12).
(Oh, and just because your a Christian doesn't mean your Baptized in the Holy Spirit. I made that mistake and I'm glad I got it straitened out (Acts 19:2))
(These guys have spoken at our church, and they were really good… if you want to know more, contact them…

KJV doesn't say tomorrow....Neither does the American Standard Version, Contemporary English, New International version, Revised Standard or any other version I have.... All these versions say FOREVER instead of tomorrrow, which is even better... Here is what Albert Barnes Notes on the Bible has to say of this passage: Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday ... - As this stands in our common translation, it conveys an idea which is not in the original. It would seem to mean that Jesus Christ, the unchangeable Saviour, was the end or aim of the conduct of those referred to, or that they lived to imitate and glorify him. But this is by no means the meaning in the original. There it stands as an absolute proposition, that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever;” that is, that he is unchangeable. The evident design of this independent proposition here is, to encourage them to persevere by showing that their Saviour was always the same; that he who had sustained his people in former times, was the same still, and would be the same forever. The argument here, therefore, for perseverance is founded on the “immutability” of the Redeemer. If he were fickle, vacillating, changing in his character and plans; if today he aids his people, and tomorrow will forsake them; if at one time he loves the virtuous, and at another equally loves the vicious; if he formed a plan yesterday which he has abandoned today; or if he is ever to be a different being from what he is now, there would be no encouragement to effort. Who would know what to depend on? Who would know what to expect tomorrow? For who could have any certainty that he could ever please a capricious or a vacillating being? Who could know how to shape his conduct if the principles of the divine administration were not always the same? At the same time, also, that this passage furnishes the strongest argument for fidelity and perseverance, it is an irrefragable proof of the divinity of the Saviour. It asserts immutability - sameness in the past, the present, and to all eternity but of whom can this be affirmed but God? It would not be possible to conceive of a declaration which would more strongly assert immutability than this. I think this verse is an ENCOURAGEMENT to all Christians....Whom do we have besides Christ?

God does still do miracles in real ways. I have actually met a couple of such guys in-person. This one dude from LA International Church (I am not sure if this organization is still called this or not, I visited quite some time ago... ten years ago I think it is now) actually had been shot in the head and was considered clinically dead - and he was a nonchristian even at the time. He was a druggie, and probably did all sorts of other things like alcohol, promiscuous behavior, etc. He was given another chance in life by God, and was raised back to life. Still has a scar in the side of his head to this day.
Most miracles that occur today are obscure, and never reported by the antichristian media of today - because they are aware that this will convert people, and we can't have the evil Christians overpopulating the earth (sarcasm). You have to hunt for this kind of information. Alot of miracles occur in third-world countries especially where people are poverty stricken and completely destitute.

When Jesus walked the earth, His miracles were to help people believe. The Bible was not complete as we have it today so Jesus was the Living Testimony. He was, in effect, The Living Word. Now we have the completed Bible and have no more need of miracles (though they still occur, but not for the same reason, and of a different nature, as when one is "born again').

Show me the man Jesus and I will show you the miracles. The miracles ceased when the Word was fully come. The age a miracles was then no longer needed, so it ended.
Since the church did not exist until the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and the Law of Moses was fulfilled at the cross, people no longer needed miracles. Some of the books of the Bible had already been written and even quoted in other books of the New Testament. Therefore, the miracles were no longer needed to confirm the Word of God.

It is hapenning today too. Christ said that we would be doing greater works and miracles than they did back then. And I hear about it in various places and also the people I know personally. It isn't happening every single day with my friends and I but it is happening all over in differant parts of the world. I hear about stories of resurrections even after the person that died has been embalmed and was dead for 3 days in Africa. The man who teaches my bible study was led by the Spirit (he had no idea where he was to go) to a small town in Kerrvillle, Texas and landed at a specific house of a stranger, rang the door bell, and the woman who resided there said to him that he must be the one they had been waiting for. While he was there, sick people were healed, a mentally retarded woman was released from that disorder and became whole, deaf were able to hear, a crippled woman was healed, and more and more people showed up and lined themselves outside to get in. He didn't touch any of them with his hands, only by the power of God. All he did was raise his hand toward them and they were healed. These were mostly women and they all came from a near by catholic church. After this insodent, they all left the catholic church because in the midst of all of the miracles, they had finally received Jesus Christ, the real Jesus Christ of the bible, and not the Jesus of the catholic church, as their savior and Lord. They were at that moment, finally set free, not only from physical bondage, but religious bondage of the false teachings of the catholic church.

How strong is the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT in our lives today, compared to the 1st century Christians. The HOLY SPIRIT is what fills us with the power to do miracles. However, you do NOT say I want to "see" a miracle so that I can believe. GOD cannot be tempted!
I believe miracles occur as they did in those times. However, the people here in North America have a "lifeless" theology that does NOT bring glory to GOD. Other parts of the world you WILL see true miracles. However, they are not advertised on the 9 o'clock news like most other stories.
More can be said.
GOD bless

If I read it correctly=Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow...It is talking about Jesus only.
If a miracle is as I see one to be (what can not happen yet does) I will contact you one on one.
First of all, people have to have the faith, with courage and love it seems to me. I have yet to see the perfect person.
I had total blindness in right eye and 20% vision in left. An operation gave me 20/15 in left and 20/20 vision in right eye.
I had pinched spinal cord in lower back= paralized from waist down...zero leg movements...lets just say prayer works.
How many have paid their tithing and became wealthy from poor? alot of people.
My brother in law had cancer, was dead for 15 minutes befor they could bring him back. He died two weeks latter...I know that is not 3 days dead like Lazereth.
Great question, I think you will receive many great stories of miracles....

I know of all of these miracles happening today. Except multiplication of bread loaves, I've yet to see that one. But people all around the world are being healed every day. With eyewitness accounts. Perhaps we are the blind ones that refuse to see outside our own lives.

Miracles are happening today. Many people have testimonies on healing, just in the churches. There have been many reports around the world on miracles. Watch TBN shows, or CBN's 700 club. Jesus said,"Greater things than this shall you do." He was talking to his apostles, but I believe this is meant for the modern day Christians also. I've seen & been healed of sickness myself. The key is to have faith & pray. It is always good to have 2or 3 people who have faith to pray together and ask in Jesus name.
