This is an oxymoron. How can it be pure and misdirected at the same time? What you might be asking about is presumptuous faith. Pure faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.

Yes. Faith is simply the belief in... what was it again... that which cannot be seen? Something like that. Anyways.

It's easy to fully believe something. You have faith, for instance, in the fact the sun will rise in the morning. You've got X number of years experience to back it up. I'd say most likely, your faith in the sun during the night is about as strong as faith can get.

But especially for children, you can be led to believe all sorts of things with solid conviction and be wrong. For years people believed that the universe rotated around the still earth, because you feel like you're not moving and see the stars, moon and sun pass by. Their faith could easily be just as strong in that as ours is in the sun rising tomorrow (or the earth maintaining its present rotation, but that's too many words :P)

In short: yes :D

Of course its happening today. Islam is a simple religion but because of a few it has been misdirected and is now viewed as something it is not.

Nope, if it's misdirected then it's not pure, purity comes from accepting Jesus into your heart, Jesus said "I am the (only) door to heaven, no one can enter through any other way".

no ,if the person you are having faith in is pure then that person will not misdirect you .

and the only one truly pure is LORD most high/GOD ALMIGHTY.

Of COURSE it can be. And there's no way to tell when it is or it isn't misdirected.

But as 'Peter' writes, faith is but a FIRST step...
2 Peter 1:5-7 For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.

Sure its 'good' to have a guiding force within a person's life, but one should also step outside of the boxes of thought/concepts that they create that defines their reality occationally for a 'reality check' too.

If you honestly believe in something, and you are completely honest about it, then that faith would be pure. It wouldnt matter if others agreed with it or not.

Yes, for instance people who believe God to heal them and stop taking their medicine. Faith is important, but the Lord calls us to exercise wisdom.

Like they say, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"

You can have faith in a lie, not realizing it's a lie.

But when you put your faith in Jesus Christ, He said that He would set you free.
