My whole life I have struggled to smell anything. I can only smell certain things which are strong, such as gasoline, cigarette smoke, poop (unfortunately), and a few other things, like some freshly baked foods depending on what it is. For the most part, I can never smell ANYTHING. This worries me a lot. I have seasonal allergies but I am like this year round, even during the winter. What can my problem be and how can I fix it?

There are clinics that specialize in the loss of the ability to smell. Go to: http://www.senseofsmell.org/feature/whitepaper/anosmia.php
For a list of clinics and information.
Hope you find the answer:-)

That is terrible. As a super-smeller, I can tell when my son takes off his shoes anywhere in the house. I can also taste if the milk is going bad two days before it does.

You would need to visit an ENT--Ear, Nose & Throat dr. What do they call those? Otorhinolaryngologist.

I am similar to you but it's never really bothered me.

I don't know what causes the problem but if you are concerned, discuss it with your doctor/local gp.
