My wife, Carolyn, just passed by my computer screen and said, "I think they are nuts."

((Moon)) - Okay, would you ever date someone who considered it their duty to watch for you to make a mistake and then report you to the "Hall Monitor"?

Heck no i would never date someone like that; and if i found out that they were going to report me i would say ; it;s been fun; but i need time now to say good by and good luck as i want to study more or whatever the case might be.Those are the type of people that you have to watch..What do or can they get out of it>brownie buttons; a rub on the head; or just a thankyou for being a reporter of others...Good question.

Your wife took the words right out of my mouth, What I was going to say is;
They are clearly Nutters!
And perhaps need some clear direction from the Church Council instead of visa versa.!

Honestly Uncle Grog, I don't think very much of a person like that. I don't entertain cowardice of any kind. I am a Christian, and I don't answer to any councils. My pastor teaches us that God Is The Ultimate Council.

It's a "duty" to the extent that people who post here should use the features responsibly. That includes reporting posts that clearly violate the TOS or guidelines. But people who fancy themselves as administrators when they're not, really need to stop deluding themselves. Reporting posts just because you don't like somebody's opinion only makes it harder for the administration to sift through things.
As for the second question, no, but they might try to date me for their undercover work. Personally I'm more interested in their under-THE-covers work.

If they're just being judgmental and don't respect other opinions, I think they should read the Bill of Rights. Real tolerance is necessary in any decent society. Don't tread on thinking!

That they're taking their "duty" a bit too seriously.
No, I would never date anybody like that. Sounds a little too looney for my tastes.

If I dated someone it would be polyamory, and it definitely wouldn't be someone who felt like reporting my every bad little move.
When someone says it's their duty to report, I would say, "Wow! If you're here doing this, then who's running Hell?"

I think they become trolls once they start thinking that way. It seems arrogant to me.
