If you ask me, its all a bunch of bologna. There is ZERO evidence that certain kinds of rocks do anything for the mind, body or spirit. If it were true, then we would all be rich, healthy, and happy because all we would have to do is wear some rocks around our necks.

My mother-in-law has been getting into this malarkey for the last couple of years. She has all sorts of crazy looking pebbles sitting around the house (or set in her jewelry), and she is still sick, poor, and miserable. First of all, this whole "magic rocks" business was started back in the “stupid” ages when people didn’t know the first thing about medicine. So they started making stuff up. If they had decided that certain kinds of leaves had these magic powers instead of rocks, then everyone would be wearing leaves.

I don’t know why people continue to believe in this centuries old garbage when there are perfectly good doctors available. If people arent happy with their lives, then they should go out, get a higher education, get a job, and stop wasting what money the actually DO have on pretty rocks!!

Peridot fosters emotional balance, and helps us heal from past emotional wounds. It adds intelligence to your romantic situations, giving you some common sense and protecting you from unnecessary heartache. Peridot is also a Money Stone; wear it to bring money and opportunity your way.

Peridot was known as the Gem of the sun a long time ago. It was believed that this stone had the power to dissolve enchantments and to drive evil spirits away. If you wore it, it should be set in stone. It was also believed that it cured asthma.
