I bought 2 boxes , but the inside are almost totally red. I have never seen this in a clementine before, and its really sweet..way too sweet. Have you ever heard of this kind of fruit? thanks

Sounds like you got blood oranges...

You see them all the time on Food Network. They're often added to salads or used in sauces.

Are you sure it's a clementine and not a blood orange? Blood oranges are dark red and very sweet..

Blood oranges contain a pigment called anthocyanin which is not typically found in citrus but rather more common in other red fruits and flowers. Not only is the inside of the orange darkly pigmented but depending on the variety the outside may also have dark washes of red.

Because they're probably African Red (or Blood) Oranges rather than Clementines. They're great in salads and for juicing, but a little goes a long way. Try mixing them with sliced star anise.

I think you have a blood orange. Use it in a salad.Mixed greens, blood oranges, red onion,vinagrette.They really are good. They also make a great sorbet.Enjoy!

But I Suggest To return them, or throw them away, or leave them out side for the birds.
becuz, i read a page in national geographic saying that Internally Red Citrus, if you will, fruits lower the imunity for Cancer. or to make it easier to understand,Raises The Risk For Cancer. You Can never be too careful. You Should ask a doctor or a Naturalists.
