this is personal advice, not medical advice

far too difficult to tell without more information. please elaborate? any other answer would be pure guess, without knowing how long it has lasted, and whether or not it happens while moving, etc.

based on your additional information, i would recommend taking an anti-inflammatory, such as ibuprofin, as directed on the bottle. apply cold packs for about 20 minutes per hour, and a heating pad 20-30 minutes per hour, switching to the heating pad after the 20 minutes of cold. keep this up for up to 3 days or until the pain stops.

if the pain continues after 3 days, you rpobably should consult a doctor

Actually there are a lot of trigger spots in that area of your back. These spots can refer to other places on or in your body that you may be having problems with. Some spots in that area refer to your bladder...but it could just be a sore muscle. Put an ice pack on it for 15 minutes, then change to hot pack for 10 minutes. Repeat this several times and end with the cold pack. Take a couple of aspirin or Aleve to help with inflammation

i had shoulder pain where the arm meets the shoulder, the pain was deep inside. after 6 months of tests and therapy and cat scans and mri's the doctor said i don't know what is wrong with you...long story short my first visit to a specialist i was told i had a partial rotater cuff tear on the bottom side not on top that is why the regular doctor could not find the problem...surgery and 6 months of healing and i am back to new with no pain at all.........

r u on the computer alot, is there somthing your doing that makes you raise your arm? I get on the computer alot and the muscle around/near/on my shoulder blade always hurts. My doctor explained to me that im overusing those muscles and i should stop using the computer so in ur case stop raising your arm a lot or for long periods of time.
