I'm currently an Electronics Technician in the US Navy. I'm getting out in about 2 months, and am currently searching for a job. During my online searching, I'm finding positions for Electronics Technician I, II, and III... What do these mean, the I, II, and III? Is it by company, or is there a standard. Also, I'm having trouble finding Electronics Technician jobs doing a search for just that. Should I be searching for terms other than "Electronics Technician", and does anyone know of any companies hiring for this type of position in either the Hampton Roads area in Virginia, Southeastern Indiana, or around Lousiville, Kentucky?

I guess I should add that I have tried monster.com and careerbuilder.com with my resume as well as their resume builder, and all I get is recruiting firms. I would really like to avoid these if at all possible.

Look for Federal or State jobs at airports.
Local governments has positions, also.
The railroad hires techs, also.

There's tests you'll need to pass.
Each level has different tests and qualifications.
There's no exact standard.

P.S. Don't splash or broadcast your resume. Too many scammers and time wasters in the wild. Recommend you know the company or government agency, get the names of the decision makers (if possible).

There's a book called: Job Search: The Total System. It's old (10 years), and the information is top gun. You can pick it up on Amazon for a couple of bucks.
