You sound so proud to be an Atheist and adopt such an exalted superior position.

Yet you are forced to confess, at least to yourself - yet we all do know as well - that you have failed to live up to the light that you have. You know that you could have lived a better life and have done things of which you are ashamed.

That self knowledge judges you and will forever judge you.

You are no better therefore than those whom you hypocritically condemn.

Who are you to condemn when you fall short yourself?

Your motive is bad for in falling short you cannot deny the charge that you choose Atheism to deny your responsibility and accountability. You cannot deny that you yourself have fallen short of the knowledge of what is good that you have.

Or do you really think that you are perfect?

Your credibility is in shreds.

When will 'Atheists' realize their shame in their claims???

Wowzer.... eh?

"'Your motive is bad for in falling short you cannot deny the charge that you choose Atheism to deny your responsibility and accountability"

I CAN AND DO DENY IT!

When I, as an atheist, make a mistake, or a bad decision, ONLY I am responsible for it.

The Devil did NOT make me do it!

Conversely when I do something amzing or just nice, I get full credit.

Wowzer, indeed.

The faithful could find the peace they want if they could just stop, sit down, take a deep breath, and relax. And then think.
And, after a little thinking, say to themselves:

I really don't know any thing at all except what I have learned through my five senses. I only recognize the natural universe. I really know nothing about a supernatural universe except what I have been told by others with five senses.

Everything else is imaginary. It may be true or it may be false, but I will never know. Maybe I should just forget about my and other peoples imaginary world. Maybe I'll feel better. Maybe people will begin to like me.

Then take another deep breath, close your eyes, and you will feel a sensation of intellectual honesty for the first time in your life. It will exhilarate you like nothing else, execpt maybe sex with a godess.

This is the problem with too many religious folks, they suffer the illusion that their religions impart some sort of superior morality to them. They don't. This kind of criticism is proof.

Other than Mother Teresa, how many Christians live up to their light? How many Christians think they could NOT have led a better life?

Yes, self-knowledge is the TRUE judge. He got one point right! But as a Christian/Jew/Muslim, judgement is God's alone, no? So what's this moron pontificating about? His hypocrisy is clear to any thinking person.

And I REALLY love his inverted idea of responsibility and accountability. LOL. We are responsible and accountable FOR OUR OWN ACTIONS. That's what atheists believe. Religious folks believe they can get forgiveness and absolution from some super-convenient supernatural being who is intimately concerned with our every act. How can these people be responsible and accountable when they subscribe to a fairytale? One needs to be REALISTIC to own responsibility and accountability.

If the nasty atheist claimed to be perfect, well, that's a point against him. Otherwise, everything you quoted about that idiot is a self-indictment. When will he realize that criticism always leads to hypocrisy? This fact is a gem of wisdom he can extract from the Bible . . . if he has one.

Criticism leads to hypocrisy . . . but sometimes I just can't resist!!

I wonder what the user was 'using' when this was written. I don't recall ever claiming to be perfect. Nor do I believe my condemnations to be hypocritical. This might be the result of one too many experiences with a televangelist. I'm just not sure. I hope this person doesn't drive.

This guy is really screwed up, but I hate to give him a hard time, because people who think like him,( if you can call it thinking ), really can't cope with reality.
They can't confront a world that they don't understand, but they lack confidence in their ability to figure things out, so they simply accept the self-serving inventions of others.
What they believe does not necessarily need to be true, but it must be something they WANT to be true.

Well, being sure of ones self is O.K. This, however, represents ultimate conceit.

Utter indifference, can't imagine why you posted it. I thought it was something worthwhile and wasted a minute reading it. Perhaps you should try to explore something other than the Great Fundie-Atheist War.
