I have lived in Hawaii for over a year. I love it and i have made friends with people here. It all depends on the way you treat them. There are always good people just as there are always bad people. If you judge them before you get to know them it makes it hard to understand. I know that some of the Hawaiians feels as if we came here and just took over their way of life. I understand their feelings too. But when you have so many military people here and sometimes it makes the island feel crowded.

I know 3 different people who went to college there and left after a semester because the other people were down right rude. But if I were in their position, I wouldn't like all the tourist either, which is probably a large percentage of white people. It is sad that things like this exist for any race.
But a better question would be why SOME people in Hawaii don't like them, as it's not all of them.

This is sure news to me!! I am caucasian, and been to Waikiki Beach 6 times, and never ever had a problem because I am white.
this rumor has been going on since whenever! Every race, color and creed that visit the Hawaiian Islands, we all help the economy there!
Without the tourists, they would surely be in a huge amount of trouble, no jobs, no money coming in (if they work in the tourists area).

We like white people, we need visitors to fuel our economy! If someone doesn't like white people just for no reason, there's an issue there.
