Hi, I have been a pastor for 25 years and I know that many people have a variety of issues and still are authentic believers.
The salvation of ones soul does not take away the personality that God gives us. It sounds like this person has some issues with how others perceive him, and or how he thinks they see him.
It could be that he has some legalistic views of the bible and that he sees himself as indeed, better than others. Just be sweet and kind to him and be honest with him about his behavior. Do not be afraid to confront him in a Matthew 16 fashion if need be. He ruins his tesitmony with that attitude.

there's a difference between knowledge and wisdom, the latter comes from God. What the nation needs to hear today is not that God is real, they need the gospel. Take him through the commandments, and I'm sure he's broken some of them, and ask him if he stood before God today, theoretically, would he be guilty or innocent? He would be guilty,. Then ask him if the prospect of going to hell concerns him. If he truly does love God deep down, the law will pierce his heart and he will be convicted. Then tell him someone paid the price so that He didn't have to go to Hell. That's the jist of it.

Though I'm not a Christian, I can tell you that some people are simply like that and others are going through a phase. You can lead by example of course but sometimes you need to gentle approach a person and tell them they're being a jerk. If she is truly a good person, she might feel hurt at first but eventually she will thank you for it.

All I have to say is just pray about it, and leave the rest of it to the Lord God Almighty.

Take the high road and be an example to him... If you do Bible studies with this person, you may [don't be too obvious] suggest certain chapters of the Bible where humility is taught.

Well..everyone is imperfect. The most perfect looking person has his or her flaws too.
i have a few questions about the person you are talking about.
Why do you he/she is stuckup, know-it-all?
Could he/she just have been correcting someone in love?
If it is a real problem of him/her, is it possible that you approach him/her in love and forgiveness, and tell him/her about your concern?

pride is giving yourself the credit for something that God has accomplished. pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and giving it to yourself. pride is essentially self-worship. anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us. that is why we give God the glory...for he alone deserves it.
it is wise to spend time in prayer first, to check our motivation, and ask for guidance. there are times when christians are called upon to "talk to or try to correct a fellow christian." our motive and intent should always be to bring about repentance and restoration to the erring brother or sister in Christ.
