Since I've graduated, my parents still insist on monthly grade checks, insisting that every other college student is undergoing the same kind of questioning. She said i could ask whomever i wanted and so I am. Do your parents still ask what your grades are, even though they are your responsibility?

I may not be the one you want an answer from... but as a parent and paying the bills.. yes I wanted to know what my child's grades were (no matter what their age is). Now if my child is paying the bills, then I don't care what their grades are.

Are your parents paying the college bills? If so, they have a right to ask what your grades are, or anything else they wish to ask. If you want to be completely independent, be completely responsible for yourself.

Seriously, you can deal with this. Just tell them what they want to know and go back to what you're doing. Unless you're screwing up, it's not a big deal; and, if you are, they have a right to know.
