If Jeff does not win, I for one still appreciate the thrilling moments he provided for me and my family...you gave it one heck of a shot and admire your ability to keep things together under sometimes degrading circumstances.....congratulations to you - your wife - and beautiful daughter...job well done

Gordon has definitely been incredible this year! Under the old point system to have 498 point lead with still five races left is remarkable! And even under the new system Gordon has a fairly decent lead considering how good Johnson and Bowyer have been in the last five races. Gordon didn't win 81 races and four championships being mediocre.... he is an awesome driver! And there is no conspiracy in NASCAR or secret organization bending the rules specific for Gordon. NASCAR is inconsistent with its rules for everyone and sometimes NASCAR's stupidity favors Gordon and sometimes it doesn't. And that is just life.
I hope the #24 wins the Championship this year... if he doesn't, a lot of people, myself included, are going to feel like he was robbed. It will also show more than ever the Chase s seriously flawed!

I think that would be a nice speech. However its not over until the last corner of the last lap at Homestead and anything can happen. I love Jeff Gordon and hope that another championship is not stolen away from him like others have been in the past.

Yes Jeff will have a great year, even if he does not win another race this year, his first child was born and he has provided so much to so many people though this work outside Nascar. I do think that Jeff will win the chase for sure

gordon is having a great year and if not for the the crappy chase he would have his 6th championship.i for one think he can win the cup but racing is racing and anything can happen.hopefully #24 gets 3 in a row this weekend and extend his lead. go#24

I t seems to me that he has mellowed with his marriage and with the birth of his daughter. There is nothing that will humble you faster than the birth of a child.
I would love to see Clint Bowyer win the cup, but I think Jeff has the momentum behind him. Good luck!

yes this has been a great year. he has had an incredible even if he doesn't win the chase. i wish he would but if he doesn't its ok. all of his wins have been awesome and congratulations to him and ingrid on the birth of their child.

For it to be remembered as a great year, he will still need to close it out by winning the "chase".
