just come out and call the real live Historians that say there was never an "Armenian Genocide" liars and dishonest ? The likes of Professors Justin McCarthy, Norman Stone, Guenter Lewy, Andrew Mango, etc etc (these are the names off the top of my head of the living historians) I was inspired in asking this question after I saw Istanbulboagzi's question with the Chicago Tribune article link ?

In Erzurum (East of Turkey), there are still people about 100 who saw the murder of Turkish villagers perpetrated by the Armenian gunmen. There are many pictures showing this tragedy.
If Turks were silent about the several-decade Armenian allegations, it wasn't for regrets or embarrassments, but it was for DIGNITY.

Ottoman State(Empire) was long called "Sick man of Europe" from mid 1800s until 1922 (the war of independance).
Is it fair for an intelligent person to allege that a sick man can stand up from coma and commit a very big crime?
Is it fair for an adult person to think that effords to defend your homeland against the invaders (England, France, Italy, Greece and Russia-till 1917) are illegal ?

First off all these historians you have
listed have yes lost credibility but
not because they are non believers not
at all. They have in one way or
another through other subjects proven
to be inapt. For instance McCarthy
has been noted for junk history. He
made many errors in all his other works.
Another problem is that any historian
that does their research in Turkey is going
to be concluded as bias.
Turkey has a reputation
for distorting the facts.
If Turkey does not like what
you say you go to jail. If Turkey does
not get what it wants it will threaten.
No one can argue with my thesis in-light
of Turkey's latestthreat. Most of them
work from an opening statement
that either starts or is researched with
this preconceived notion,
"Armenians were no threat to the Ottoman Empire".
Armenians as all Christians were a threat they
protested and they made demands on their
Muslim rulers that were not going to met.
These are the facts.
These historians would like you to believe
for no reason the Armenians
(all including women and children) attacked cities like
Van and Adana the end
result massacred them
self who would do that?.
Afters years and years
of taking this crap from their
leaders they made a stand
and were killed for it.
It is a very simple concept to understand.
It still happens in your country
today, you see the Turks do not
see what is clear and right before
their eyes because it doesn't fit into
their narrow minded views of
what is right and what is wrong.
Turks hold on to one illogical
piece of history concerning
the Malta trials. All and
especially the Armenians have
presented numerous amounts
of evidence proving
the authenticity of the genocide.
The turks hang on
to one big flop the "Malta trials"
turks believe that
because there are no evidences found in
the Ottoman records of the Genocide
none of their Muslim trash bag leaders
were found guilty. I say simply after the
fall of such a ruthless, dirty government
who had just killed 2.5
million Christians whats the odds
they kept a paper
trail? I say zero to none...
"how stupid the world for thy
own purposes" this was said by
1 of your leaders after
those trials guess who?

Not a woman historian is listed
in the deniers of this
event occuring this is if I were
you, what I would be very
concerned about.

I would bet they do not want to stoop to the same level of stupidity as those people. Who says they are "real live Historians"? The are certainly not historians in any real sense of the word. If they have any "history" at all it is figmented and revisionist, seeking to deny much of what is real history for their own biased and false view. In the same way the Jews deny the atrocities committed against the Palestinians, and this denial is one cause of the horrors they face today.

By the way, my wife is Armenian and met a woman whose grandmother was bayoneted by the Turks and left for dead by the side of the road during one of the forced marches in 1915. When you have real people who were there and saw it and lived through it, no amount of revisionist spewage can change it.
