Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Do you feel the presence of God?

Dimple girl--we live in a society that is full of chaotic noises. Television, radio, mp3 players, cd's, computer programs, car horns, traffic noise make life noisey. We have so little time that we spend "quietly" and therefore we sometimes miss out on the "beauty" of the quiet that would reveal the presence of God. I know the best times in my day is early in the a.m. when I am awake and outside watching the sun rise. Those moments lead me to "SENSE HIS PRESENCE" and understand why He suggests that we "be still, and know that HE IS GOD!" Even if you don't sense Him in all His glory---just the sheer joy of not having noise infiltrate our being is worth the early waking. It almost seems that I could ask anything and He would respond. What I wouldn't give for more moments like that.

Interesting passage for believers, noting the objective is to "know", not believe stuff; as also noted in John 8:32.

Notice all the clarifiers:
- it says "be still", not run to and fro
- it says "know", not believe
- it says "that" of this/that
- it says "I am", not am I
- it says "God", not LORD
- it says "I will", not will I
- it says "exalted", not abased
- exalted begins with heathen, then goes globe-all

As for feelings, how does "the God of all comfort" feel?
I'll share what I "know": no discomfort at all in that God!
Why not? Because no law at all in "the God of all grace".

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Yes even as he said in Exodus 3:1-4 "Here AM,I" or when Moses ask who shall I say sent me? He said "I am" In Joshua 6:1-5 He spoke to Joshua and said "See,I" He wants us to know Him in many ways. being still and knowing that He IS God is just one of them. We all to often are bust talking to hear that still small voice, that is why prayer goes unanswered.
I fell Him so yes to your question! Moses did,Joshua did,Jesus did and so did many other....

yes, it is amazing to know that God can speak to us without a verbal sound. Even in the midst of hardship God is still with us and will guide us through if we just let Him.

Amen Sister.
Sometimes this Is ALL we really need to do.
Instead most run around like a dog chasing his tail.
I've been guilty of this myself.

someof the answers in here almost prove the existance of God. those who dont believe dont feel him. those that do believe in God know his presence when they feel it. interesting isnt it?
