What would the world be like....if science eventually diminished religion? And if we had a woman as the president of the US.....? I ask this because that's exactly where it looks like we are headed, in my view.

I am NOT suggesting this possible future is a BAD thing.

I think it would be much more peaceful, more logical and rational, more compassionate, and I think there would be fewer wars. With no religion to fight about, and with a woman in charge of the most powerful nation, it could only improve. Why? I truly think that if women were in charge of all or most of the nations, the corridors of power, big business, etc, there would be more rational thought going on. Women talk things out, men fight. Women calm down the little boys when they get their feelings in a knot, Women produce babies and are, in my opinion, far less likely to agree to let their sons go out and shoot other mother's sons over some stupid argument. We are the ones who really know how much time and effort is involved in creating a person from our own bodies. I know I will get some serious disagreement over this, but please keep it civilized if you are able.

Well you see physicists have always scoffed at the idea of diminishing religion, considering it to be the realm of cranks, mystics, and charlatans, and with good reason. However, rather remarkable advances in the female gender are reviving the theory for a woman president and has now even become fair game for theoretical physicists alike.

First of all, science cannot diminish religion! Only the people on earth that don't believe in God can try to do this, but will not succeed. We as Christians know that he does exist. No one can change our minds. As for a woman President, I'm against it. They are too emotional, let their hormones make decisions, not their brains. They cannot separate the two. It's impossible. If a man and his wife can't get along with her hormonal problems, how can the rulers of different countries get along with them? The world peace that we have now between different countrie would go to hell. Any chance of making peace with other countries would be lost. NO WOMAN PRESIDENT FOR ME!!! Even though I'm a woman!

Well the funny comment about a woman president is kinda funny because who do you REALLY think ran the White House when Bill was in office? Lol!

No religion? Well are you refering to the whole world, like you implied in your question-or America? And then would the whole world turn to a specific kind of science? Elaborate more-that way I can understand more of how you're feeling.

Men have been presidents since the beginning, and where is the world right now? There have been wars since the beginning, and still are. And for the past few decades war is no longer isolated or remote, its in our own backyards and threatens the entire planet.

The truth shall set you free. So if science is ever able to diminish religion (which in not likely), then obviously the truth would have won.

Science will NEVER "diminish" religion; and NO woman would ever be president; people are too intelligent for that. Imagine a woman as president; PMS, hyper emotional, over sensitive, basket case, indecisive, ruled by hormones, ruled by sex attraction and would be a huge liability. Imagine were a female pres to fall in love or get involved with a terrorist just because he was hadnsome? Could happen with a woman, never with a man.

I think it'll be exactly the same. People who proclaim themselves as Christians or any other religion aren't going to magically stop believing one day. Science won't diminish religion. Look how long its been around. And as for the woman president, she'll do a WAY better job then Bush. that man is an idiot.

Unfortunately, science won't get rid of religion. Religion is for the cults and the brain washed; the weak and the obsessed; people who live in fear; people who are fearful of just being moral on their own rather than immoral together in a fundamentalist religion; religion is the scourge of mankind and has and still does lead to war and genocide.

If you think this untrue put down your Bible and study the histories of religion.

Come on. Science is nowhere near diminishing religion and a women as the US president isn't happening anytime soon. Americans aren't ready for a women president and they will not vote for one (I'm sorry but it's true). And if science is overtaking religion, then why are there less atheists than creationists? Hmmm...
