No!
You have to be FOURTEEN for any fast food place.
Sixteen for nearly everything else (theatres, mall stores, etc). That's when you aren't bound by the Child Labour laws.
Depends on what country you're from tho. It's 14 for canada, but I dunno about the States...
Oh, and either 18 or 19 and up for video rental stores.
Wait two more years.
You can get a paper route easily though. But either way, McDonalds is NOT a good place to work... they pay you minimum wage, and half the time that is under what the government says the amount is!
Do a paper route. It's hard work, but you get good pay from it.

hon...I am sorry to hear at the age of 12 you feel you need to go out to work and earn money for your family.
You should be with friends now..laughing and learning together in school.
Have your parents asked you to get a job?..i believe it is illegal to work before you are at least 16. !2 is way to young to have such a responsibility towards a family.
can your parents seek government funds?.welfare?
Money should not be your problem now..Do you have a school councillor you can talk to? This is way to much burden for a 12 year old to have to worry about.
