God has no beginning and no end. To be the true God he must neither have a beginning nor ending. If something had made God, God would be an idol.

Some people say God is energy. Energy does not have a beginning or an end. Everything that exists in the universe is made up of energy. For an in-depth presentation on this theory please go to this link.

Nonetheless, I still believe in the Biblical concept of God – a loving and merciful Father who loves and cares for his children.

Dear Andrea, The Bible states that God is the alpha and Omega (beginning and the end) God simply is, and has been for thousands and thousands of years. God has no beginning and no end, Time is his creation, thereofre he is not subject to it. The scriptures make clear: "Hear O isreal, The Lord your God is ONE God". If there is one thing however that is most important too Know about God, its about His nature His Holiness and what he requires of you and I. what do you think God requires of Us? The BIble says we will face God give an account of every thought word and deed done in darkness. eeek, kinda scary. How will you do on that day?
Have you ever lied, stolen, looked with lust? ever used Gods name in vain? if we have and God Judges you by every thought word and deed, that means he will see us as lying theiving blasphemous adulturers at heart. The BIble says "all Liars shall have there part in the lake of fire", and that no adulturer or murder or fornicator will enheit the Kingdome of God, but will rather enherit His eternal Justice (hell). Here's the god news, God has done something incredible for you in that he sent his own son too die for you. You broke Gods Law, But jesus Paid the Penalty, Gods wrath was turned toward him instead of you. Now you can have his forgivness and everlasting life by repenting (turning from sin) and trusting in Jesus like you would cling to a Lifejacket on a sinking ship. Then get a Bible, and obey what you read.
God Bless

If you truly want an answer to this question and you believe in God. then prayerfully consider the question while studying your scriptures. The Holy Spirit will help you recognize the truth of the answer to you when you are ready to know it.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does have a good answer to this question if you look it up on their website LDS.org .

I have studied this question myself and my personal belief is: Yes, he does have parents. Look at the examples of how important family is in the (Christian) scriptures. Christ taught that Man and Woman should be married and have children. He also spoke often of following the example of His Father (God). We have parents here on earth who are supposed to teach and guide us as children so that we may learn what to do. So why would parents be important in these examples if it didn't follow an eternal pattern of organization. I also believe that God is the Father of our Spirits. While he is also the literal father of Christ (father of both his spirit and physical body). In Genesis 1:26-27 it says "God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness...So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Which means he has a body similar to ours.
Anything more than that simple answer I don't expect to know or understand until long after this mortal life.

God do not have parents
He does not resemble any of his creation
He is separate from his creation.
He has no wife and no daughters. He is the beginning and the end.
We do not know how he was created and we will never understand how, so we need to not look for an answer to this question.
Satan whispers this on our minds to wonder about things we have no knowledge of so we can disbelieve in Him.

asking something like "who made God?" is like asking, "what does blue smell like?" blue isn't in the category of things that have odor, so the question itself is flawed. in the same way, God isn't in the category of things that are created, or come into existence, or are caused. God is uncaused and uncreated - he simply exists.

we know that from nothing, nothing comes. so if there was ever a time when there was absolutely nothing in existence then nothing would have ever come to exist. but things do exist. therefore, since there could never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been existing. that ever-existing thing is what we call God.

No, God is eternal and infinite. God created space and time, therefore, God is timeless, which means that he never required a beginning nor will ever have an end. God bless!

This dialog would take years, and nobody would agree anyway. Just believe what you want, and let God educate you. Read the Bible, or whatever book you find your source of belief, and pray that you are enlightened. Good Luck.

No.

God has always been.

God is the beginning.

As is Jesus. Jesus did not start to exist when He was born to Mary. Jesus is the Creator.
