Half of your DNA comes from your mother; one half from your father. Ditto with your parents. So, your grandfather from the West Indies contriibuted one fourth of your DNA.
What about his parents? Where were they from? And your parents? Your two grandmothers? Your other grandfather?
Of course, that doesn't mean you can't "claim your heritage", just that you should embrace ALL of your "heritage".

Embrace all your heritage, it makes you who you are, you do not have to claim it, you are it.
Enjoy
