Mr Jello, thank you for your comments. I may be wrong, if so please correct me, but I understood that the ban of all CFC production; Montreal Protocol 2000 did not include developing countries until 2010?

How can we use excuses?
How about good quality of life - don't we all love it? To see things well cared all around? And in all things we know have bad effects ... to all of us even in health, will we cross arms?
Why are biodynamics growing as much as non chemical farming succeeding? These are reactions from awareness of bad policies to our planet but also positive good answers of changing in better directions

Why do people believe that if you don't believe in man made global warming, then you're pro pollution? Nothing could be further from the truth.

For example, CFC's were banned years ago. Yet you still want people to avoid buying new products that contain this chemical when none do.

Capitalism forces corporations to reduce material and to use what they do efficiently.

Wind power is being built as fast as the towers can be manufactured.

Oil is not a big part of any economy. If it was the $90/bbl price would have the world in a recession by now.

Global Warming skepticism provides no excuses for ignoring the environment, but it is no coincidence that global warming deniers as a "type" have little concern for living sustainable lifestyles.

It is no coincidence that those denying global warming and ignoring sustainable practice in the States tend to be from the Christian right either. They have Biblical approval for their attitudes. viz:

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (referenced in sources)

which is sermonized to mean that we can basically do what the heck we want, because God put it there for us to treat however we like. Frightening stuff.

In Europe and most other parts of the world, far fewer people deny Global Warming, and of those that do, most will agree that greener living benefits everyone even if they aren't yet taking and steps towards it. And there are plenty in the US too who will say the same.

In summary: Not an excuse, just used as one.
