It either randomly hurts or hurts when I bend that side. It is below the bone, almost under. It isn't my appendix because thats too low. Its has been hurting all day (7:30-Now) What is it?

I'm not really active.
I rode my bike to and from school today but it started before.
I haven't had my appendix removed, plus the pain is higher than that area.

if this is the first time, don't worry about it. it is when this stuff happens alot that you have to be concerned.

Three kinds of pain are generally related to this part of the anatomy.

First, make sure you see a chiropractor or doctor about this.

Then, ask her if she thinks one of the following could be the problem:

A. Neuromuscular soft tissue pain.

One of the common causes of pain in this region is a hypertonic rectus abdominus muscle...in plain language, one of the muscles that runs from the top edge of the pelvis/lower abdomen to the lower edge of the rib cage.

This is sometimes caused by poor posture or sitting in one position for a long time or from overworking one side of the body more than the other.

Your doctor can test this by having you lie down and gently attempt to stretch that area by having you reaching behind your head with your left arm as you also turn your head to the left.

At the same time, she can help you attempt to twist your right hip in the other direction.

If this movement seems to localize the pain, then you are likely dealing with a soft tissue problem. The stretching may be all that you need to start to ease the pain. A massage therapist or chiropractor trained in the release of neuromuscular trigger points can further treat the area.

B. Gall bladder pain.

C. Liver pain.

Because your pain changes with movement towards the affected side, it is most likely A. above.

Again, check with your chiropractor or doctor to be sure.

I have those pains under my ribcage sometimes. In my case, it was gas. Gas comes in all forms of pain. I drink Mineral Water. Or mix Baking Soda and water and drink it. Alka-Selzer will work also. Try it.
