Hi there,

I have a request from a senior coworker for me to stop by and touch base w/ him at least once per day to make him feel more comfortable with the level of communication.

I understand that and I am totally willing to do that. What I would like to know is how other people feel about their coworkers stopping by to touch base?

I want to give adequate communication. At the same time, I don't want to be a pest!

Oh yeah, I've only been on this job for like 2 months.

Thanks!

Interpersonal relationships are the grease that keeps business running smoothly. Communications are the grease gun. If you want to succeed in business, keep the lines of commuication open at all times.

Well if you are touching base in work related issues, then it can be a good thing.
I have several people who either rely on my work or I rely on their work. That way we can make sure we are both on the same page and are doing what is expected of eachother.
