I see that there is a common hidden teaching in all three of the Holy Books of the Jews, Christians and Muslims. Since a little boy I have been lead to believe that we all would come closer to the truth if we focused on what we have in common instead of our percieved differences.

There are plenty of people who wish to exploit the different perspectives of each of the faiths. I only want to exploit the things we have in common.

Please if you want to denigrate another persons religion there are leigions who will support you in that. Go to them to share those ideas. Here, please only focus on what good we have in common. Things like the worship of one God. Good deeds. Teachings of love. Things like that. I will select the answer that exploits the most teachings that are common to all three. Any negative feed back about anothers faith or religion will disqualifiy your entry.

Good Luck. Move forward in love!

Thanks for all the great answers. I urge all of you to seek the common teachings. There lies the foundation of truth. Samadhi sativa's answer, while somewhat cryptic, points the way to the inner / spiritual rebirth that is fundamental to all faiths.

The most common is one god. An-Najashi, The King of Abbysinnia, told Jafar Ibn Abu Talib, the cousin of Prophet Mohammad, after relating the Story of Mary according to the Holy Qur'an, that the difference between us(Christianity) and You(Muslims) is no thicker than a line. A mundane details, Islam has a pre requisite of believeing in all prophets from Adam to Jesus.

They all said they were hearing from the one true living God.

The first one, Abraham did.

The second one, Jesus WAS God. He endorsed both Abraham and the O.T.

The third guy is not worth mentioning. He proved he was no prophet by contradicting Jesus, our sinless Saviour, and "sinning like a trooper" (as radical Islamic terrorists continue to do today).

It is a lie that he followed Jesus, in the service of God. Could he have been the anti-Christ? Don't fall for their lies!

Like so many other "cults" they think they know better than the Bible, God's Word. Re-writing scriptures is the litmus test of cults.

Abraham, Jesus, and Muhammad have enlightenment in common. Secondary common qualities are Trust not faith, reflection of the Source, wisdom, leadership, last but not least, transformation from the world of duality into the absolute field of Being.
