I agree with everyonje else on this. Absolutely not.
There is a little more to it though... Why would you have stayed so long?
You have to know you deserve better. If you don't know that, you need to find yourself and see yourself for the truly wonderful person you are, or the one you can be if you let yourself be. We all have gifts and we are all deserving of good things. Believe in yourself.
There is someone out there who can give you "the world" so to speak. Someone who will be there as a friend, a lover, an advisor, a comfort, and a believer in YOU.
End it with this person and find yourself if you haven't yet. Then that person for whom you will have mutual love and friendship can be found.
If you stay with this person, you will never find that person who is waiting for you.

Your question already contains the seed of your answer. This person does not love you is how you said it. Now why would you want to stay with someone who no longer loves you even if it has been on and off for 4 years. Romantic attachments are based on mutual love , desire, values, and goals and not on convenience or expediency.Hence, the answer is no, you should go your separate ways for both your benefit.

Don't stay with someone just because its comfortable. If you can't find any other reason than its convenient, its time to leave.
