Command sponsorship is given very rarely, but if you are trying to go, it's the only legal way...your Husband must request command sponsor for any short tour assignment. which will automatically place him on an additional year if approved. But, keep in mind, unfortunately only one in 10,000 receive command sponsorship, it's mainly based on MOS and location of assignment. I've served multiple assignments in Korea, and have seen Command sponsored family members, but there location was in major commands and all where above the rank of SGT (sergeant). Depressing, but facts are ruff for hard ship tours.

Your husband would have to be the one to pursue this, not you. There is a reason why families in general are not sent to Korea. It is a high risk base, with an incredably high exercise level and limited resources, especially for families. To go over without sponsership can cause problems...there is no garuntee your husband would be allowed to live off base, so there is no garuntee of getting BAH to pay rent. You would have very limited access to things like the BX and medical care. And most signifigantly, you will not have SOFA status, which is there to help and protect American military and families living overseas if something should occur that involves the host nations legal system. The legal system in Korea is very different from the US and to run the risk of getting involved in something as seeminly innocent as a car accident without that protection is not a good idea. Add in that you would be ineligable to work on base and have very few opportunities to work off base. If your husband's command will not sponser you, you need to think very hard about going without it. It is a risky proposition.

Know one would hate you! It depends on where he is at. If he is really remote it might be a challenge If you are coming over, his command would give him permission to live off base most likely. I encourage you and he to explore and have fun soaking in all the culture. My wife and I had a blast and she wasn't command sponsored.

Your husband needs to pursue command sponsorship through military channels; it isn't something you can arrange, as a civilian spouse.

you will no longer get carry of housing in any respect. you will have not any paying for privileges, no scientific, and no college. you will no longer have post get admission to. Transportation won't deliver any of your loved ones products. You or your companion can't deliver a automobile. you have Visa subjects. i think of your Visa could in common terms be good for 6 months at a time. it relatively is not any longer a good option.

YOU can do nothing. It is strictly up to his Command whether or not they will grant CS. nothing you say or do will have any impact whatsoever.
