don't let her rub around her eye, rinse it with water, keep it cool... see how it is tomorrow... and if its still there, check with the doc.

It sounds to me like it could be staph infection.. perhaps the pink eye.. but don't think so...

hope it is much better by now..
keep it clean.. try not to rub it.. and use eye Drops until u can get to a Dr if it gets worse.

yes it could absolutely be related to a staph infection.

Take her to MD if doesnt clear up in a couple days - or explore some alternative options like oil of oregano, garlic,etc but definately consult an expert when using alternative medicine with a child.

she has probably been rubbing it, and it is unlikely that it is the MRSA you have been hearing about in the news. To get that, you have to be exposed to it. Put a cool compress over her eye, and stopping worrying about it. If it isn't better tomorrow, call her doctor.
