No chance. Approx 20 mins after your last drink in the session your blood/ alcohol content will start to fall at the rate of 1 unit per hour. One pint of average beer ( 3.6% ) is approx. 2 units, one double 50ml whisky or similar spirits is also 2 units.
Since a clear head is probably best for you to secure a deal, why not tip the bar man / waiter before hand with instructions that when he brings you the gin & tonic, which you will be drinking, that he only puts tonic in the glass. He can keep the cost of the gin. Even if a g & t is not your poison it doesn't matter as you'll only be drinking the tonic. Your clients can have whatever they order - and since you'd be spending the cost of alcohol normally the business expenses will still stay the same. Sorted.

You should never drink when you know you are going to drive. You can go to the business meeting and drink a club soda or a juice rather than an alcoholic beverage. There are lots of people who don't drink at all and they usually don't have problems in these situations. If someone tries to offer you a drink, just say, "No thanks, I'm driving," and that should be enough.

I like to drink as much as the next guy, but you do not need to drink to secure a deal. Did you ever stop to think that maybe they are testing you to see if you drink on the job?

drink plenty of water and try flush it out of your system. also eat a lot of mints or a piece of parsley to get shot of the booze breath! in reality its a crime to drink and drive so stick with coffee and that will keep your licence and should keep your wits about you! striking a deal does not involve alcohol if you are good at your job!!!

No. And if you get stopped for a DUI, I bet your employer is not going to say that drinking is necessary for your job. Because it isn't. So be responsible.
