You lose power and confidence when you turn being civilian but when you are active, you feel supreme.

The best and only answer $$$$. A civilian doing the same job as a military person is paid quite a bit more.

If you have the option of going into the GS system jump at it. The pay, benifits and retirement is quite favorable.
