Evolution has no fixed point or direction. Species change over time. In today's modern world, humans have insulated themselves from evolutionary processes using technology, such as food crops, modern medicine, etc. In the past, humans were very susceptible to natural selection: In Europe, the plague wiped out 1/4 of the entire population during the 14th century. Some modern people of European descent have a genetic resistance to the virus, and it is thought that this genetic characteristic was influenced by natural selection -- survival of the fittest. The ancestors who resisted the black plague could survive and reproduce.
I implore you, please study evolution before disagreeing with it. Evolution is not random, and it does not have a set point in mind. This should be obvious to any student who has studied the theory in a biology textbook. I'm afraid that many people are spreading false information about the scientific theory based on their religious objections and personal biases.

We have still yet to see any evidence of one species becoming another. Variations in the same species doesn't equate to evolution. For all we know at this stage is that those variations are preprogrammed in the DNA as possible variations. Mixing of DNA may make a new type of dog, but it is still a dog. So, even if a complex single cell organism managed to spontaneously form with perfect parts one time or even a thousand times, it wouldn't account for the wonderful variety of life here on Earth.

evolution from a physical standpoint has almost slowed to a stop. we change the environment to suit our needs therefor we don't need to adapt to nature. Our minds on the other hand are still constantly evolving. there is no limit to the amount of knowledge you can learn, take advantage of that. your thinking of it wrong we're not turning into some non-human creature, just smarter and smarter.

Don't know.
The process of evolution doesn't really have a direction. For example, a species might evolve a defense mechanism for a particular parasite. It will become resistant to that parasite. Millenia later that species might evolve to be resistant to a different environment that doesn't have that parasite. Later it might lose that resistance to the parasite again, just because it isn't a factor for survival anymore.

We become more and more beautiful with every passing day.Every second we move towards that which we are to become. Is it not logical that we shall become beautiful? And is that not enough?
As we learn and grow,we become smarter and wiser. Our eyes are opened to new and exciting things.Dude I tell you right here and now, whatever we become,it will be one smart sonofagun!!!!Our feelings and emotions will know in the same way our minds will know. And that is really something. We as a society will grow as well. And we will learn acceptance and grace.Nations will know peace. And spirituality will grow.It is growing as we speak.
On a lighter note, what if we were to experience the opposite of what the dinosaurs did and our species go from small to humongous???Suppose we evolved to get big like they did?Uh,GROCERY BILL...Duh?Ha!Ha!
Hugs!

Well look at where we started. So maybe, and i'm not being a smarty pants here, but if we evolved to what we are now, maybe that is how we end up as the aliens are..

extinction...there is a theory that claims that evolution in human beings means a greater desire for power and control and greater ability to obtain it...but all means to get control come from the earth, one day the planet will not be able to keep the pace of humans and it will just get destroyed

for example, at the moment we are continuing the human evolutionary trend in which our lower jaw is continuing to get smaller, which is why people are having problems with wisdom teeth - they simply do not fit into our shrinking mouths anymore. one of the reasons for our jaws getting smaller is because of our reliance on tools. if we had a big snout, we wouldn't be able to clearly see the work of our hands.

Evolution has no finish line--we will probably continue to evolve physically to facilitate bipedal walking, for example...right now, we still pretty much have the ribcage and spinal structure of quadrupeds, which is why so many adults have lower back problems in later years. In an evolutionary scale of time, we JUST started walking upright. We're still mere apes--much can still change.
The environment is what dictates the mutations that are naturally selected, so ultimately it will be "nature's call," so to speak--not ours.

Most species are stable for most of their existence.
We're a huge and far spread population. I don't think any advantageous mutations that might occur will beome widespread.
I don't think we're currently evolving.
