Be with someone who is very different from you or someone who was just like you?

If 2 people are alike in their faults and bad habits it wont work unless they work to overcome them
Although opposites attract they fight like cats and dogs and either never spend time togther or stay away from one another.
If 2 people are alike in good ways then they enjoy doing the same things together and enjoy one another's company and share the same views and morals whereas opposites dont.

You really need someone who's a little bit of both; just to keep it interesting, but, if I had to choose, I would choose someone who is very different from me.

A little bit of both to me. I want a unique guy someone that can have some of the same personality as me but also has a little bit of difference as well. It depends though, really.

If you had to pick one or the other, you want someone like you. You can enjoy each other's company better while doing something you both enjoy. However, a little differential in personality goes a long way in opening each other up.

Opposites attract for short time because they see in the other person what they desire to have in them but after a while they begin to repel. You need to get with someone who is most like yourself.

if you're with someone who's too similar to you, you eventually run out of things to talk about! it all gets a bit boring, (trust me, i tried it)
it's a lot more interesting with someone different, but not worlds apart or anything!

I think in order to have a successful long term relationship you must have things in common, common interests and so on to keep you together... you aren't going to last with someone who you have nothing in common with.. i know i've tried it both ways, lol :)

but by this, i mean morals, values, beliefs, stuff like that... hobbies, interests, those kinda things, i could care less about
