The father of the bride speaks first - then the groom (on behalf of the bride) and finally the best man.

Any other speeches aren't "traditional" so I guess theres no real order to them!

did you mean order ("orer")? normally it starts out with a speech from the groom normally saying thanks for coming, am really happy to be married to bride, blah, blah. then the father of the bride who will say how happy he is for his little girl and say embarrasing things that she did growing up. then if there is a maid of honour she might read a poem or something how she knows the bride and how happy the groom makes her, then the best man is normally saved for last (or maid of honour dont matter much). he will say embarrasing things on groom, how they met, what kind of man he is and so on. (the maid of honour can do this as well, whatever fits between your speeches!)
hope this helps and this was what your q meant!
good luck! =]

I just got married and the first person to give a speech was the father-of-the-bride, then the best man, then a few other people did. There really aren’t any rules. Just ask the bride what she wants and communicate with the DJ/MC (if there is one). Good luck, and try not to embarrass anyone (too much) :)

ups,just misunderstood the Q.
order of speach, is groom, father of the bride, best man, and then downvards.

Isn´t it a it late to start?
Well 1st rule don´t make it to long, just about 2minutes of speach would be pleanty.
Can u joke about anyting from the past, (remember not to offend him or the bride) tell about how important he is to you, tell something he have told you about her, and the other way around, that they do not know.
And there is alot more to talk about.
Just remember the best joke/story/memory for the ending.

I think every wedding is different just based on other answers, and from weddings I've been to. At mine, my Dad spoke first, then the maid of honour, then one of the bridesmaids, then the best man, then my husband then me. I wasn't going to talk, but I ended up talking and I am glad that I did. It was totally unrehersed, but it made everyone cry, lol, so I guess it went over well.

Good luck!

Father of the bride welcomes everyone and thanks them for joining him at his daughter's happy occasion, then the groom thanks his lovely bride for marrying him, then the maid of honor toasts the couple and finally the best man toasts the couple. By the time they get to you, everyone will be ready to get on with the party so keep it short and sweet.
