They have alot Funnel Cake Maker Kits on ebay right now, about $8.95 to $21.00+ shipping.

FUNNEL CAKES

For 4 (8 inch) cakes (can be doubled or tripled)

2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 c. oil
8 inch skillet

Beat eggs and milk together. Mix dry ingredients together and add gradually to egg, milk mixture and beat until all lumps are removed and batter is smooth.
In 8 inch skillet, heat 2 cups oil to 360 degrees. Pour 1/2 cup batter into funnel holding finger over hole. Hold over hot oil and release finger and swirl batter into oil starting at outer edge. Fry until golden brown. Turn and brown on other side. Drain on paper towels. Dust with 10x sugar. I add cinnamon.

All you need is a frying pan with about 3/4 inch of 350 degree oil, funnel cake batter and a funnel. And something to get the funnel cake out.
And maybe some powdered sugar and cinnamon for the tastiness factor.

The most important thing when you're making funnel cake is to make sure that the batter is loose (liquidy) enough to slide through the funnel easily. I've made them before and the only problem I had was dealing with the leftover oil. They're great and a lot cheaper than the stuff that you buy at a fair or for me, at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta (SEVEN DOLLARS FOR SOMETHING THAT COST 25 CENTS TO MAKE!!!), and they're fun to make.

Hope this helps a little!!Good luck!!!!

simple you can buy a funnel cake mix that is used by 100's of traveling carnival food concessions and do it at home with this mix spooning it into heated grease. No special equipment required, just be careful grease is hot. hope this helps

The Gold Medal "original recipe" Pennsylvania Dutch Funnel Cake Mix has become the favorite Funnel Cake of the professional operator.

Convenient. Six 5 lb bags per case. This mix gives you the consistency from the day you leave winter quarters till the end of the season.

Lower grease absorption. Every operator who has compared knows this to be a fact - the reason is in the recipe! Lower grease absorption is what results when you put better ingredients in your batter so that it "sears" the instant it comes in contact with 375 degree cooking oil. Little or no grease absorption means longer "pot life" on your oil - lower food costs on each Funnel Cake - more production per hour!

More profits per hour. If you have to stop to add oil, that "shocks" all the shortening in your fryer and you are "out of business" until all the shortening gets back up above 375 degrees.

More Funnel Cakes per hour. Measure your Funnel Cake success in total Funnel Cakes sales per hour - not on saving a penny on batter. You'll sell more with the deluxe mix.

The best flavor on the Midway! These Funnel Cakes taste great! A little confectioners sugar or fruit topping compliments the great tastes of these Original Recipe Funnel Cakes.

Six 5 lb. bags per case.

Just make some batter and pour it thru a funnel over a 10" pan with hot oil in it. Pour it in circles and it will intertwine together just like the country fair. Then use tongs to flip it and take it out when it is brown and crispy. I usually sprinkle mine with powder sugar and then top it with some kind of fruit syrup or just eat it plain like that!
