Where all humans came from - she was the offspring of Adam and Eve.

"When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters."

Genesis 5:3-4

Cain was afraid of the other people that he might encounter on his journey so I think God marked him so that peeps would leave him alone. That proves that while Adam and Eve might have been the first of mankind..they were not the only...if you read a while you will see the account of the Nephilum...which were, wait for it...wait...brace yourself...this might not sit well with ya...angelic beings that had rebelled and "married" the daughters of men...these guys were powerful beings that made themselves gods on earth and corrupted mankind from the beginning bringing about the flood. The Apocrypha and some other gnostic gospels account for this which I would have dismissed to except on closer inspection of the Genesis account. There is alot of symbolism and vagueness but also if you study Job you will see that the purpose for this account was that the "satans" where on the earth and Satan as in Lucifer or Devil sorta rubbed it in Gods face that most of the men of the earth had turned to other gods. God showed him that they had not through the faith and patience of Job. One man was always enough to keep our Creator pluggin' away for the rest of us to come...first Abel, then Enoch, then Job, then Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and so on. So these fine little details will always have the answer if sincerely sought. The Gospel of Christ has always been "read the whole thing, obey and trust me.." So re-read the whole thing, obey and trust in Him. He won't let you down. Love in Christ, ~J~

That's probably where evolution comes in. The way I see it, Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel were the first 4 persons on the whole planet to get a soul. Cain probably met an evolved human.

Reading a literal translation of Genesis, we know that Adam had at least two daughters (Genesis 5:1-5 says that Adam had daughters--plural). Incest was not forbidden by the law until Moses, so Cain's wife was probably his sister.

This is also assuming that God did not create humans besides Adam and Eve.

Do not worry about it its just a story book for children written in the first century.most of the book is supposed to teach morals and ethics and is not about real events.this book (old testament) was commissioned by the Jewish family's of the city of Alexandria Egypt as a story book for school age children.

other wise you would have to discount that G-d created man since there were people already around when Adam and eve were created.

I think the answer can be anything that you want to believe, but for me, I believe that Cain and Abel were not the only children that Adam and Eve had.

Since Adam and Eve were the only people on the planet until they had children, there could not be anyone for their children to marry, except for brothers and sisters. So, I am assuming that they had many children, and their sons married their daughters. So, Cain's wife was also his sister. In the Bible times, it was not uncommon for men to marry close relatives.

His wife was probably his sister. Some scientists' explanation for this was that Adam and Eve were the first humans and thus genetically perfect. No diseases or genetic disorders had developed by then, so close mixing of the gene pool was not dangerous and would not produce a child with defects. It does seem a little strange, I'll admit...
