I'm sure that a person missing half their brain may not be interested due to their ignorance.
Most people with a full brain, however, experiences some form of search for a meaning in life or truth.
From the tone of your question, I will assume, however that you are not interested.
But to answer your question, some religions do keep to themselves. Others, on the other hand, are commissioned to spread the message to the world.
In Christianity, Christ ordered his followers to spread His message to the ends of the earth. So Christians can not "keep it to themselves" because that would be disobedient to Christ's Commandments.

Huh. I'm pretty sure C.S. Lewis had half a brain, and he believed in God. In fact, there are lots of bright people who are Christians.
The reason Christians talk about God is because they are trying to save your life.
Incidentally, if it's just nonsense, why does it make you feel this threatened?
